VW Polo 16V 1999

Featured Replies

This is a black 3 door 16V Polo - V reg from 1999. This is my wife's car - who acquired it directly from the VW dealership where it had been a demonstrator.

It has 72,700 miles. It is a totally reliable car but has a decent scrape on the rear quarter panel on the passenger side.

This would be an excellent buy for someone with some P38 and spraying skills, access to a bodyshop or wants a very sound 16V'er as a bit of a project. There are a couple of other rust spots but nothing significant. I've tried to show them in the pictures.

All alloy wheels are in good condition (also see the pictures).

It has a Sony head unit with a Dension iPod controller.

The cambelt was replaced at 65,000 miles.

I don't want to sell it as I'm sure I won't get what its worth to me but we've just had a second baby and whilst the kids fit fine, there isn't enough boot space for two kids worth of gear. I reckon it's got another 100k in it.

The last service (at 65k) included:

Cambelt

Front discs and pads

Both rear tyres

New horn

That service cost me £800!!

Since then I've replaced both window regulators.

I know what its worth to me. But don't know what anyone might be prepared to pay. The dent in the side puts most people off but this is a sound car that needs a bit of TLC. Make me an offer - I might just take it. I promise to take the sunscreens out. :-D

Feel free to call me on 07766 332672. I live in Kintbury - near Newbury (junction 13 or 14 of the M4).

price please ??

I can also personally say this is a very tidy late 6N 16v apart from the obvious dent, Which is just that there is no major damage around the dent which can be easily pulled out with a slide hammer, a skim of filler and a respray would easily tidy the car up. It would be ideal if you were planning to do some body mods anyway.

I'm looking for £1100 - got to be a bargain!!

850 and ill take it
