you gone off the idea of a swap for the vette rims,? was going to say pop over and try them on, they should look sweet on a mk5 and dont stick out so will leave plenty of arche clearance = no scrubbing!

though the rears look tight there's ~ 10mm clearance to the arch lip and mines -100mm
