- If you joined after 1st October, don't panic, you will most likely receive your pack this month.

You're a bunch of scammers!

- Um, no. We're a bunch of VW fans, like yourself, who do this as a hobby for no reward of any kind, apart from the odd thank you and more common abusive PM.

Why don't you post a pack immediately when I join?

- Basically, because we're human beings with our own jobs, families, friends, broken VWs and lifes to lead. Personally, I try my hardest to sit down and do memberships once a week, but I don't always manage it.

- Sometimes we have to wait for membership supplies to come from the relevant printers.

How long should it take for a pack to be despatched?

- My personal aim is a week, however, sometimes it depends on things beyond our control (see above).

If I join today, when will I get my pack?

- As of 16th Dec 2008: We're currently awaiting stickers from the printer, when they arrive, I'll hopefully be posting out the packs within seven days.

Why don't you deal with the requests that have been outstanding the longest first?

- Damn good question, with a few good reasons (I hope)

- Memberships have been dealt with by a lot of people over the years, some are still on here, some aren't, communication with them isn't always easy.

- I'm still learning the system.

- It's a lot faster to deal with a new membership, thereby making more people happy per unit of my time.

- If we started with these, by the time we'd worked out what had happened, figured a solution and sorted it out, the new members would have been waiting too long, thereby initiating a viscous circle.

steves done a great job in outlining some of the frequently asked questions about memberships so this should aim to keep the thread a little less cluttered!

you will get a members pack which includes sticker membership card yearbook. both yeti and i are awaiting stickers before we can continue posting out member packs

becoming a member will allow you access to a series of discounts. the reason you automatically haven't become a member is that the system is not automatically updating ppls forum status from user to member.

it is being sorted though so bare with us!

why don't you just leave the stickers for now and post them later might speed things up a bit i am only saying before any one starts a war

unfortunately i dont know how to update ppls status from user to member, i think admin are the only one with suitable powers to do so, and for some reason the system is not doing it automatically! ;-?

To answer a few q's.

About people not getting convertted to club members. There's a bug on the system that's stopped this happening automatically. It's on the relevant people's pile to sort this. In the meantime, I'm extractting the data to give Panda a list to do it manually (don't envy that task).

Why don't I send member packs, then stickers separately? Basically because that doubles my workload. IE I have to pull and print two sets of a stack of envelopes, then stuff and post them all twice.

Why's Heartagram not answerring? He's stepped down as membership secretary as he was getting sick of all the bitching, shame really, we were just starting to get on top of it all.

Why's there no answer from memberships@clubpolo.co.uk ? It's the membership secretary's account, the position is currently vacant.

Steve, I tried PM'ing you but my computer had a spazz for some reason.

Got my yearbook on Saturday. But I'm still waiting for my sticker and members card. Never got anything last year as it was all in a mess so I'm guessing all I got this year was the renewal pack? Any chance you could get them in the post to me? Sorry to be a pain but I'm itching to get the sticker in the window :)
