cheers there are afew small bodywork issues, but cant moan for 600 smakers with 11 month mot

it looks ok

Looks nice mate  . As somebody who used to own a 1.0L 6N2 how would you say the Golf compares speed wise? Just curious to know.

get the back box sorted straight and put on some old school dish i.e. Borbet A's and your sorted

cheers golfs probly slower as its heavier and its on a carb, but i think it handles better when it does pick up some speed.

backbox wont go any higher as the mount is about a cm away from the top hanger, it get a small single rounded one when i get some dollaaaa

yep i got 3, the 4th was damaged when the wheel fell off, cheers previous owner(s)

anyone know the werabouts of a single bimmer wheellll?

Rim spec/sizes? 14x6.5 if I remember correctly, I'll keep my eye out.

That or ebay

  • Author

yep ET30 14x6.5j

when i finally find another one I'm thinking spraying the lip silver and colourcoding the centre tornado red?

Well, red body and then the black of the arches and tyres... I'd be more inclined to have polished lips, black baskets and red logo's on the caps imho, with some red dice valve caps :-D

BMW specialist two doors down from our unit so i'll pop in and ask at some point

hows your pooberg lol

does the job lol

cheers jackdub

looks cool, preferred the GT abd conversion though! guess you have to have what makes you happy though.

So whats happened to the ABD conversion then? Scrapped?

  • Author

abd conversion wasnt as quick as my old GT as it had an ABD gearbox so i always thought it was lacking someething and i couldnt be arsed messing about changing the box, suspension etc plus iv always wanted a mk2 golf

so i straight swapped it for this lol

Cool stuff, is the guy you mswapped it with on here?

i know your post says you're skint but i may have a little deal for you.

i have (as you know a few s/wheels) found a mk2 boss £20

bonrath single wiper linkage and motor £20

couple of 3" single round stainless backboxes (generic) 1 peco - 1 scorpion £20 each

2 x 14" mk3 golf steels (rallye style with round holes) with legal rubbers £20 pair in good nic

i'll do a wheel with boss, wiper, a backbox and the rims for £50 the lot.

CUT SPRINGS EEEEEEEEEY?

nice whip boyo

please read before posting n00b!

golf looks tidy mate, if it was mine i'd get some red pin striped small bumpers, some nice 13-14's with some dish and see how far you can wind them coilies down before your sub frame is sitting on the road, if it scrapes then don't worry, the sub frame is protecting the important parts 8-)

i used to love my old 1.3 it was slower than old age but who needs to go fast when your sitting on the road?

hmm tempted to go small bumpers but i dont think it will suit with the arches?

  • Author
