Koolest Kruize For Brads Charity

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I just want to remind you all that the Koolest Krooze event in aid of Brads Cancer charity is coming up! It is a scatter hunt where teams/individuals get a list of destinations and questions/clues to answer at each location.

It is taking place on the 18th January and there are events in Sussex, Kent, Wiltshire, East Midlands and North East. There is nothing else to do that month and so i hope a load of you will join in?

I am organising the Sussex one. It will start at 10.30 am in Hailsham, East Sussex.

I'd like to extend an open invite to ANYONE who would like to take part. All you have to do is get people to sponsor you. Ideally we would like to see everyone who enters get at least 20 people to sponsor them a minimum of £1. It would be fantastic if everyone who takes part would be able to raise at least £20. Alternatively, you could just make a donation to the cause yourself and enter anyway. There will be loads of cool prizes on offer for taking part.

So if you're from London or Surrey or Hampshire or anywhere else for that matter, please feel free to motor on down to join us!

There will be loads of prizes given out for all sorts of things and at the Sussex event, i'm also hoping to be staging a mini charity auction! It should be a great fun filled day out with other dub owners, you'll feel great about having done something for charity and there is a chance you will walk away with something cool for your efforts!

So please consider coming down for a super sexy kool day out!

Also if anyone would care to make any donations of items, large or small or services that we can either give away or auction off, please let me know!

Anything would be gratefully accepted!

All the money raised is going directly to Brads.

Anyone who would like more info or wants to make a donation, please ask on this thread, pm me or email me at funkmasterred AT hotmail.co.uk

Thank you all so much!

Chris 'Funkmaster Red'.

P.S... You don't have to be in a dub to take part, it would be a bonus but i appreciate a lot of people put their air-cooleds to 'sleep' for the winter.

Lastly, i would be grateful if anyone has any contact details for HAVOC (Hastings area vw owners club) and West Sussex vwoc.

Also please spread the word and put info on your local club forum if possible?

Thanks!

Coldest participant (for someone who turns up in a beach buggy, cabrio, sand rail or bike...) - 1st place only

Obviously we are not expecting you to wash/polish your motors after the run and so we will judge accordingly.

Also there will be lots of other activities.

As well as the Krooze and show n shine there will be a charity auction, a raffle, refreshments and a lucky dip and competitions for kids.

roll up roll up folks this is getting a lot of plugs on local radio and will be covered by the big VW mags, local papers and of course will be online on the Brads site so come along and do the treasure hunt for charity, win some prizes, spend some cash at the auction and enter your ride into the show and shine :)

start point now announced :)

The more people that come along, the merrier as it is all to raise money for the charity. However due to printing the correct number of programmes, we have a limit of 350 places (teams) for the scatter hunt on a first come, first served basis. One programme will be given to each vehicle. If those fill up quickly, people are more than welcome to attend the car show and auction after the hunt.

The start point is the Hailsham Leisure centre car park in Vicarage Lane, Hailsham, BN27 2AX. Registration for the scatter hunt is from 9am to 10.30am. The first 350 teams to register will get a clue sheet with the list of destinations and clues.

The scatter hunt finishes at 2.30pm and the auction and car show start from 3pm. The car show is in the car park where the scatter hunt started from and the auction and other activities will be held in the Hailsham Community Hall which shares the same car park as the leisure centre.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Oh yeah, a basic map and some pens will be provided but you will benefit from bringing a sat nav and/or map and a pen.

If you're coming from a long way away, please notify me of your confirmed attendance and i shall reserve a clue sheet for you.

Thank you very much, Chris. funkmasterred@hotmail.co.uk
