Hey There peeps!

I'm quite new to the forum and would appreciate anybodys help on giving me some advice on and engine conversion for my 1999 Vw Polo 1.6 8v 100bhp.....

well basically I'm really wanting the Vw Polo 6n2 GTI 1.6 16v engine to be fitted into my 6n.i think that this engine should fit fine because i am aware that the made a 6n GTI but was only sold in the fatherland!lol! (germany) and was never brought to the uk and they used the same engine in the 6n2 but i really am looking into buying the engine i just really need to know if this engine will fit fine in my old 6n?? PLEASE HELP!!!!!! :-)

Is your Polo a hatchback (3/5 door) or saloon/estate?

Reason I ask is because there is a guide for putting a 6n2 GTi engine in a mk4 here

But I'm not sure if it's the same with the saloon/estate as the engine bay is different (I think).

If you've got a 1.6 8v hatchback it's 75bhp at the moment, not 100 like the saloon/estate!

All the more reason to upgrade

alryt mate yeh its a 75hp sori i checked it out and its a 5dr,hatch.would it be worth it and would it be pricey I'm really looking into it tho. ben
