my jetta and scirocco

Featured Replies

i'll start with my daily jetta

i picked it up from another user on here nice and cheap, swapped a few bits and bobs over that i had lying around to tidy it up a little, coilovers, golf front, corrado front seats and a set of 14" steels that came on my scirocco. also had to fit a new clutch and a replacement wishbone (the old one was shaped like a banana  )

this is how i got it

and after a few weeks of ownership

not much else planned really, was thinking maybe a death proof style bonnet but not too sure on that.

then heres the scirocco

it started as a standard mk2 GT auto

then came coilovers and wheels

then i ditched the pathetic engine and box and replaced it with the set up from a mk2 golf 16v

cheers mate

the rocco is a little further along than the pics show now but can't find the recent pics, should have it drivable over the weekend, then sort out and problems that come to light from the test drive and sort the stance out, can't wait to get it on the road, gagging for some power back in my life

Flaps FTW!!!!!!

Your K-Jet unit is on the wrong side you big girl!!!!! It'll never pass as a standard car!!!!

Maybe you want an inlet for the right side ????

45's now fitted

sounds very loud (mostly due to not very much exhaust being fitted), but its raspy as fuck, still need to get a proper fuel pump (its using a mk3 polo intank lifter pump atm lol) and a fuel regulator, also need a plastic spacer and a couple of bits and bobs but its a start.

i've got a 4 branch to fit as well.

the scirocco's wheels are ace BUT I dont like the colour. Colour coded to the car would set it right off

they were this colour when i got them mate, i was planning on colour coding the centers and polishing the rims but wanna concentrate on getting it on the road first, probably run them like this until the winter and give them a full refurb... they need it

here's a random pic of it finally off the garden, shame it couldn't get there under its own steam

if its nice tomorrow gonna give it a wash and polish and paint all the plastic trim satin black as they are far too faded to too use back to black.

he's a very shy lad and doesn't like getting his photo taken

olly, when i had it running with them on it had very little exhaust and what was on it was just tacked together so i couldn't get a real feel for how it's going to sound, although its a shit load louder and raspier than it was with the same exhaust and the injection on it

gonna fit the 4 branch and see if i can get pritty much a full system on it and fire it up, if i can i'll get a video of the noise 8-)

here's a little vid for you mate, but this is just with the 4 branch and nothing else on it, i was going to get a video of it going up the street but it sounded like a rocket taking off and it was about 9.30pm

Sweet! :D Look forward to seeing it in the flesh  Will definately sound like a beast when its got a full system on :)

my last one was pritty rattly at the top end, but this one sounds fine. the other 16v sounded more like it was the chain than a tappet noise tho but it drove fine and went like shit off a shovel so i never bothered looking in to it.

jetta update...

gearbox got noisy and the slowness was pissing me off and as i had to take the engine and box out to change the twisted subframe and wish bone i thought i might as well put a bigger engine back in it. after a quick search around the net i found a td conversion for a nice price and local, so...
