I sold my Mk2 Caddy cos I wanted a ratty little run around that I sort of didn't care about but was a bit nippy. I came across this which initially was gonna be an inbetween car whilst I looked for a mk2 'Rocco, however I reckon it's ace so I'm keeping it. The car has already being modded, some of which that could be considered horrific bad taste, but I like the crassness of it all. You will see in the pics...smoothing of rear and COUPE silver writing etc , brilliantly bad... The car is quicker than I thought as well, it has an induction kit and is the 1.3i so, yeah it's alwight innit. Ha. And cheap to insure. I think for know i'm just gonna spray the wheels silver and put some g60 centre caps on as I really can't afford wheels rubbing, it's bad enough going over speed bumps with someone in the back. It has been lowered 40mm all round so any ideas would be great. I was thinking about getting some mk2 golf 14" 6j steelies or g60's on 45 tyres, would they rub?

not a fan of the boot, or the front splitter. but looks a good base, how much has it been lowered by? 15's would probably rub. i got 14's on mine and they were touching the rear spring and had to space them a bit.

I sort of like the tackiness of the boot...but yeah maybe i do need to sort out the filler cracking.

It's been lowered 40mm.

About £15 of ebay.I think a set of 14x6 Golf GTI steels would look top.

Why do they need to be ratty?, a little bit of work it could be a tidy car. Clear indicators for sale sections or ebay. Wheels I'd say wack some mark3 golf driver Steels, 14" down 40mm shouldn't scrub.

I've just bought some clear indicators, however I bought some orange bulbs to go in them and the pins are offset so they won't fit. Surely you can get orange bulbs without offset pins somewhere!?

Just been to the scrappies and found a bonnet which I matt blacked and whacked on. Also I have now fitted clear indicators and have taken the tacky badges off the back.

Just need some black centre caps to go on the wheels and a silver rattle can to paint the wheels up.

What do you reckon? I like it personally, scrapyard chic and all...

I didn't take a pic of the back...it looks the same minus the crap c.o.u.p.e though. Paint the wheels green or orange you think? ha ha. Could work...

yeah bonnet suits it, i think just stay with silver for the wheels though, dont be too outrageous aha you could always pick up another set to have a laugh with

I have now added some black centre caps and have painted the middles, however I have now decided i'm going to paint the whole middle wheel black. It looks good in my opinion, i did it on my mk2 caddy steelies, which were identical to the ones on the Polo.

Also, I have decided to make the car two tone, so either a matt black or chequerboard roff and a matt black tailgate to cover the crappy filler crack mark.

Anyway, what does everyone reckon?

I have also added a picture of my caddy with those painted steelies I mentioned, so you get the idea.

New pics. Two tone. Also just realised it has a 4 branch manifold on it as well as the induction cone... that's probably why it is faster than I thought it would be....

What do you reckon of the two tone idea? I thought it would be more unique than just matte blacking it...

id have left the filler cap silver, get rid of the balloon tyres and its a tidy car.

p.s if you ever break it can i have the boot, slam panel and 4 branch :p

Bit of an update. Got some new wheels from the scrappy for £60 with tyres. Not bad. They came off a mk3 polo (not mk2f). Are they original vag wheels or summat different?

they're 16v alloys - look good :) I think that those alloys in gloss black would look tops

ohh dam u want your 4 branch and as for the car i wouldnt have done the pillars d=just roof and bonnet would have looked cool and i agree with above gloss black wheels

Cheers mate, yeah I do miss having black wheels. Maybe if I get bored I will paint them...
