here is my mk3 polo match coupe.

my mum bought me this car for my 17th birthday and iv loved it ever since :-D

I'm in mid gt conversion, so thats why it's got gt badges and a 1l engine lol

mods

40/40 jom suspension kit,

g40 breaks with brembo disks and pagid pads,

14"x6" mim wheels, with 185/60r14 tyres,

g-ladersite green blocks,

plans

get lower profile tyres, suggestions on what size?

rebiuld the gt lump and put it in the car

get some cash together and get a phillJ exaust,

the green blocks are very srongly reccomended as they make the car hadle as well as a rx-8 lol

also i got 115 mph on the motorway out of the 1l :shock: whats the fastest youve got out of your 1l's?

thanks dude, i did an NVQ lvl1 in electronics in school, so thought id flex my skills lol,

its really handy too, if you want to listen to the radio witout the sub blasting

looks good for a first car, them wheels aint bad for a tenner 8-)

also some bad news, my dad and i where putting the pistons back in the block today,

when the piston ring compressor sliped and we snapped an oil scraper ring :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby: :crybaby:

another £25 for a set of rings :-(

thats some harcore "antibuyanewtoolism" lol :p

too right, well had to call in the next door neighbour aswell so technically it was 3 pairs of hands but tell you what, saves the risk of scratching the nicely decked block or damageing the rings ;)

it was on the clio, fitting my low comp forged pistons, not on a polo

IMO you should have done the gt conversion the other way round, 1.0 badges with a gt lump - sleeper FTW :ninja:

gave the wheels a good going over with the steam-cleaner today, they look good
