The real Po-Low

Featured Replies

Hi again everyone, so I've been her for some time now but seem to be very lazy when it comes to these build thread things :)... well I'm gonna give it a go whilst I have a spare 15 :)

Some of you may know my mk1, if not go take a look :) I dont feel the need to write a proper build thread aboutmy mk1 as it is what it is really.

Well anyways I have sold on my mk3 coupe and landed on something much much cooler 8-)

This everyone is the real po-low

1988 Mk2 Breadvan 1.3cl (low ;) )

42k on the closk from new with two previous owners, set me back less than half I sold the mk3 for so I have money to live at uni with :)

The car is what I would see as a rather rare and possible sought after colour, having an interior that, well lets just say I shall let you tell me :)

the car had a layer of moss over the entire shell when i picked it up, the bumpers looked white and its was riffy inside, spent 2 solid weekend and about 40 hours just cleaning like mad :)

Pictures - sorry for poor quality, was using my phone at uni in the multistory on the gloomy day that it is today :)

Future plans are simple really, its my daily and I'm skint, so a healthy slam,

single headlights

many oldskool touches

nice exhaust system

weber carb

GT steels - keeping trims tho :)

and any ideas you guys may have??

I have a nodding dog for the shelf, grilles for windows, spot lamp, beads for seats and a roof rack :)

Hope you like it

Dan

well we all love the mk1 but we cant all own one :-( n i take back part of my original comment, that same night i started putting my cd player in and the brown radio was on chopped wiring and block connectors so its actually a period 'upgrade' but iv kept it in cos i love it and the head unit is built into the glove box. nobody would ever know and it works a treat, except changing the volume can be a bit of a stretch!!
