yay

fitted a 300mm momo team and snap-off hub, and g40 oil pressure adaptor so i can run the two pressure switches from the coupe s loom. so no incessant beeping.

however, you can see some oil splatters near the coolant bottle in the engine bay pictures above.

turned out to be slightly more ominous the next day on the way to work

so I've taken the oil breather pod off, cleaned it out, fitted it to a catch tank made out of an irn bru bottle and a piperx mushroom filter, replaced oil filter and now using 5w/40 synthetic oil

refitted and reconnected everything, and once i get some more anti-freeze ill take her out for a spin tomorrow and see whats what

I'm hoping it was just a blocked breather pod or kinked breather hose, and not something more serious. if it was any of the above there is a possibility that the build of crankcase pressure has burst the crankshaft o-ring as the oil came from there or the breather pod.

upon cleaning out the breather pod, there was a fair bit of ice in the oil breather pipes, so fingers crossed its all good, otherwise i may need to rape my lupo lump for the bottom end.
