Right i have had this since august 2009 i thought it was about time i posted up a bit of it.

its a 1l 1988 breadvan with 2 owners from new

first of i brought it for £250 and named him percy.

no mot or tax on it so first off was to sort that out,took it for mot failed on a brake hose split when they were testing it so not bad for saying its been sitting for 12 months.

once all of the tax and test was sorted out i decided to get a pool ball gear knob, install a stereo and chequer the roof

and gave my wheels bit of a paint

my dad gave me this soo i wacked it in :p bit gay in a 1l but who cares (Y)

then i found a cheap roof rack cost me a tenner :p tryed out my little red wagon on it woo

then decided to brought this for messing about with

then these come couldnt afford the full kit at the time so had to make do haha

me and my mate thought it would be cool to put it in a trolly bay

ordered this come within a day so all good

heres a few random pictures

got fed up with the rusty bonnet for a bit so put the original one back on it sat like this for a while now

then this happened in the snow :(

few weeks later i ordered some discs and pads

my mate broke down about 6 miles away from my house so i pulled out the tow rope

took the bumpers and grill off for a lick of paint

a few from dub freeze

picked this plate up for a pound haha

and my girlfriend brought me this

i also brought this little beast its a 1989 saloon with gt engine and r6 carbs thats all i brought it for really so might be breaking it if it aint worth keeping

as far as future plans go is to

put new wing on

setup the bike carbs which will be very soon

get the gt engine running

then take that out of the loon and into percy

then thinking of giving percy a lick of fresh paint

also got some uprated shocks and top mounts

need some rear coilovers

70/60 the springs are but i got uprated shocks to put on but dont want to do that till i sorted out putting engine in and painted

UPDATE:

manifold is being welded up in the next week or so

hoping the gt will be running within two weeks :)

bit of a update new wheels brought them yesterday

should be here sometime this week also this week starting to make a manifold for bike carbs should be about finished by tomorrow will put some more pics up tomorrow

i have done it again its sitting in my back garden rusting away at the min

need a gasket which is coming tomorrow also wheels coming and a boot popper

also a cheeky bull horn

IT LIVES had it running earlier this week but had a petrol leak on the carbs so sorted that out and going back on tomorrow

will be starting to take the gt out of my donor car next week then into the breadvan cant wait. then need to strip everything out of my car and prep it

O i got a new horn too

also a boot solenoid, got a remote door popper kit coming in next week or two

i have also stripped my wheels which was a pain but i got there eventually

the horn i got from europaspares.com its a bull horn aparently it attracts cows but aint been past a cow yet

today i got the gt engine out of the donor car as i am scrapping the donor car i wanted to be destructive and got the grinder out

the past few days i have had a go at polishing rims few pics let me know what you think :)

wow aint updated this in a while thought bout time i showed you guys where i am up too :)

first off all took car off the road started to strip everything and decided to underseal underneath

next job get the 1l out borrowed a crane from a mate had it out in no time

then time for the gt to go in very happy chappy replaced cambelt and water pump and plugs too

replaced the wing i dented

then set about mounting my door poppers and weld up the doors

then searched around for a while for some vw11 calipers and discs then eventually found some at the right price as soon as i got them i took the struts off then put shortened shock inserts in new top mounts and gave the struts a lick of paint then put brakes on

and finally brought my self a 4 2 1 branch manifold hottuning

haven't got much more to do now with engine so i thought i better buy some tyres and paint the wheels because i need to roll my arches

so brought some 165/55/13 nankangs £26each

also brought a wheel polishing kit and got the spokes looking shiny then i set about painting the rims come out quite nice i reckon

all i got left to to mechanical wise is make a home brew exhaust, bleed brakes, sort out fueling, sort out a throttle cable and then onto painting the beast :) o and need to find some centre caps

i am making one mate using the 421 then standard all the way to cherry bomb until i can afford to get a full stainless one made up
