Hi guys well first off I've been a member of club polo for over a year and made a few small contributions but never made a build thread until i knew i was close to where i wanted the car.

First of car info -

Bought it with 73k now on 86k

Interior

Stripped out rear

Strut brace

Sub mounted in rear wheel well

Smoothed boot

Smoothed front bumper recess and two smaller grills

Pikey tech rear rolled arches

The Car started off like this but on horrible steelies instead Payed £950 for it

ca98_1.jpg

Then on the way back the gearbox went but managed to bring her home while keeping my knee on the gear stick to keep it in 5th

Soon as i got her home i was pretty much a noob and join Club polo which helped me loads so i went about dewipering it and removing the bump strips which ripped the paint off both sides.

I ordered a set of ats cups 7J and 8J rears and ordered a set of Cheapo ta tecnix coilovers which arrived later and she look like this for a while ( i forgot to say the car sat on the drive until my 21st so about 2months)

IMG_0196.jpg

I then blended an 8v splitter into the front god knows why thought it looked good so it stayed like this for a bit

IMG_0219.jpg

Finally the coilies arrived and got her sitting on her arse (well as low as possible on cups)

IMG_0227.jpg

Eventually decided to refurb the cups and polish the lips with black centres finally was my 21st so she rolled around like this for a bit

IMG_0248-1.jpg

After a while i was bored of sitting so high and bought a set of alley cats with massive stretch and a smoothed boot off a guy on here who used to have the red 6n on red teledials she eventually looked like this for last years club polo show 09 (after lots of fiddling and chopping)

S8301352-1.jpg

Once back from club polo i set about smoothing my plate recess and ran it about on lupo starlites through winter and onto a set of teledials after a straight swap and fitted the porsche seat it looked like this about a month ago

IMG_0499.jpg

IMG_0578-1.jpg

Eventually i was meaning to get her resprayed but as the paint was foobarred and the cost of a respray were not within my budgets i set about booking a week off work and respraying it myself using Montana MTN grafiti paint after reading tons of threads and advice from people, and ended up choosing Coffee Brown. 9 cans after and a weeks sanding prepping filling and smoothing i got her looking like this

IMG_0593.jpg

IMG_0594.jpg

I picked up my wheels at a bargain off ebay £100 BBS mahles off a porsche 911 old style set about sending them off to the polishers to get the lips done and once back sanded, prepped and sprayed the centres in Ford Ivory Cream came out beautiful

Before

IMG_0559.jpg

After

IMG_0584.jpg

Tyres orderd and fitted using a lighter and many cans of cheapo hairspray after setting one on fire twice they were fitted with a sweet stretch

IMG_0591.jpg

Finally fitted them after a weeks worth of seized coilover issues and washers for camber got them fitted just legal but got a bit more fettling to do but ill leave that for my next update. Looks a bit patchy but it just needs a really good clean!

f**k me! mega transformation mate!! its come on loads since i last saw it, hats off to you for doing it yourself

Looks proper cool, big fan of the wheels.

Really not feeling the boot though, I don't think fully smoothed boots suit Polo's really, they look good completely smoothed but leaving the plate recess in place.
