Skid pan day with a local VW club

A show and shine day for a German Autofest held in Canberra every year

Wakefield Park Race track

Famous Mt Panorama, home of the Bathurst 1000

Famous Mt Panorama, home of the Bathurst 1000. Bathurst is actually a public road, people do live on it. The really dumb thing is that it's a two way road, even going up the mountain.

So anyway I just thought come find out some info for maybe purchasing coilovers from the UK.

i went to bathurst a few years ago and went round with my dad in a V6 Commodore! It's epic!

you'll have to go for another drive on it with coilies fitted! :p

Awsome mate, watching the Bathurst on tele other day and the race stopped because a tree fell in the road, not sure if you saw but the tree was huge luckily no one drove into it haha

Wow thanks for the welcome everyone, much appreciated. We mostly get screwed for great cars in oz, and whilst most people don't consider my car to be great, it's much better then a commodore or falcon. I like the new polo, and it'll be released here towards end of the year, but wouldn't buy it with the DSG.

Have a few things I wanna find out from the forums, so I'll navigate my way around and get some help from you plucky brits

Only mods are Whiteline (local company) RSB, forge front strut brace, forge TIP, CAI & Unitronic flash-34kw increase.

We have VW Nationals every year, other shows around the state. There is a German Autofest every year in Canberra, normally a big weekend between VW, Audi & MINI as we're all mates.

A lot of those pics were taken in the early days. I've now had it 4 years and 3 months and it's done 147,000km. It's done about 20-25 track days and is my daily driver. After my last track day when the new slotted and dimpled (oh I forgot that mod) brake rotors nearly caused me to go into a wall at the end of pit straight at Oran Park I've given up the track days. Might do some skid pans this year when I get coilovers done, much safer

My only previous car was a 1995 Holden Commodore VS 3.8l V6, I wasn't into cars enough then to do anything with that, but for what it was (147kw RWD) it was quick enough.
