How low is too low???

You got a way to go yet mate 8-)

Looking tidy! What plans do you have for it?

Looking good apart from that, nice low mileage mk3

Looking for wheels, steels and trims only look cool for a while........

nothing too elaborate but some 13s with low pros i guess

pretty happy with the car, yeah its only 1l but it gets me about and is dead cheap on fuel......

i've had no problems starting it in this weather either!!!

should be some cool pics up later from a modified car meet in falmouth!

get those trims and splitter off and get it lowww

195,45,14 tyres sit awesome on 14" bbs RA's. I also used 175,50,14 on some 14x6" steels before.

My old G40 :crybaby:

DSCF1764.jpg

195/45/14 falcons. Car is only 40-55mm down but could go much lower (didn't want to with the power it had and how well it handled)

My old GT

175/50/14 nankangs. Car was down 80mm at the front and around 50-60mm at the back and never scrubbed not even once.

Don't crap out when it comes to tyres. Save a bit longer rather than putting balloons on them. You'll only want to change them again when they scrub like a bitch. The 175/50/14 nankangs i had were a decent enough cheap tyre. If on a budget i would go for them.

Coming along dude. I would re think the splitter though. Looks like a stick on moustache.

get up a list of tyres sizes you can afford on here and then we can go from there.

www.camskill.co.uk is by far the best website in my opinion.

Loose the splitter and get them wheels on ASAP and it will look wicked.

Nice and fresh for a change.

cool cool, nice one fellas thanks

just waiting for wheel delivery then to get some tyres hah!!

not sure i need anything else for a while!!???

any other thoughts???

if you want a cheap reasonably low profile size 165/60s are a good option. cost about £25-30 per tyre. dont forget you will need longer bolts to fit 14x6j bbs ras.

Part worns are always a good shout to. Usually hard to find four the same brand but if you can get pairs then its not to bad.

part worns are shit! do not buy them guys! i bought some from top gear tyres in ellesmere port they were dunlop sp3000's after two weeks one split across the whole tread of the tyre, took it to a garage hoping to get a refund at it turned out the tyres were from 2000! seriously guys its a no no I've found a place that does A539's for £65 fitted and balanced with a vavle each!

like i said, go on www.camskill.co.uk for tyres.

Very good value.

Another vote here for Camskill. Highly recommended!

I've got 195/45s on my 14x6in rims, and they're borderline too wide. Got a big of reverse stretch on the go but only slightly.

I reckon it's the best size to go for though, 185/50s have really chunky sidewalls by comparison. Don't know why they look bigger - they're pretty much the same size.
