Update Summer 2010:

Just thought I would share this with you all, just completed university (and got a 1st in motorsport engineering :p) so had some free time on my hands.. :D

I noticed that everyone keeps going down the same route and pioneering turbo’s etc.. So I had a hunt around and noticed that there are not many (if any) Nitrous Oxide 6N2 Polo’s.

So without further or do I present My Nitrous Oxide 1.4 16v Polo :p

I went for the undercover stealth look as you will notice :p

The only thing visible is the Nitrous Fogger, the solenoids and nitrous bottle is subtly hidden :D

(comments are welcome but don’t ask why I did it because I will just reply because I can :D)

(Also the car has not been on the dyno yet so I have no figures but we are using a 75 shot :p so double the standard bhp)

Thanks For Looking

So far so good to be honest i need to jet it all properly and get it dyno'd but i will be going santa pod soon so if you all want to join your welcome to :D

The kit was put together by me for cheaper than what any retail kit would go for ;P

As soon as i get it dyno'd and set up fully you will see me all over youtube :p

Pretty epic! Do you have it declared on your insurance though? ;)

Thanks guys ;p

Should have it on the dyno by the end of the week so will keep you all posted..

You'll find the 16v manifolds don't give an even distribution of gas/fuel when injected pre t/b. This made for an inefficient set-up when used on Jez's engine.

Depending on your required bhp increase, you'll perhaps have to go DP- and you'll rinse 5lb of nitrous in no time at all!

i'd love to see your explination to your insurance if you crash! haha

They dont take lightly to nitrous.

Looks a cool install though. Thumbs up from me!

mad bastard

pure madness and epic

More pics and video please :D

Reminds me-

Dom: You almost had me? You never had me - you never had your car... Granny shiftin' not double clutchin' like you should. You're lucky that hundred shot of NOS didn't blow the welds on the intake! You almost had me?

Extra: You Tell him Dominic. Get out of here

Dom: Now, me and the mad scientist got to rip apart the block... and replace the piston rings you fried.

[closes bonnet of car]

Dom: Ask any racer. Any real racer. It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning.

[Crowd cheers in agreement]

I could use something like this on the track!:D

I am very curious to see what kinda gains it gives...

meh, if it's declared, there's fuck all they can do about it :)

also, what's the blue LED next to the Heated rear window button?

What sort of flow tests did you do to discover that?

To be honest mate this polo was put together because i haven't heard of any other 6N2 having it, and it was designed around my ideas etc.. :D

The blue LED switches to red when the nitrous is arm'd :p

A look at the plugs on Jez's motor made it obvious he wasn't getting even distribution into each cylinder - direct port was the answer if he'd wanted to run more than a 25-shot reliably. This was on a 1.6 hybrid AFH motor.

Gas is great fun and really does work, you just need to go careful with it! Monitoring AFR and EGT, and messing about with spark plug choice was key to getting an 80-shot to work well on Yoof's old GT engine. With an 80-shot an 11lb bottle didn't last that long either, lol.
