A great little run around/ unfinished project

I brought this car with great potential to become my daily car but still look good to take to VW meets etc...

With this I had sanded the car down, bought new paint and borrowed a compressor to paint it Volkswagen Sand (gold)

The previous owner must have had some hatred for water as for some reason had deprived the old girl from it.....With this on my way to Swindon to get a new windscreen (as cracked mine) the head gasket blew =/

I bought a Mk2 Jetta as a dona car (new engine) However i know a mobile mechanic who's a "mate" of mine!

Helped him with the swap over, taking both engines out and putting the new one into the Polo.... He needed a spot of money to help with his rent so i payed him before he finished the job! Being such a good "mate" he left without returning, answering my calls etc etc!!

The engine that was in the Polo was Single Point Injection however the Jetta engine was a carbed engine but i bought it without a carb...

We had the engine running prior to him leaving me with it but it wouldn't run propperly... I got told the timing needs sorting but would run alot better with a carb on it but due to buying the car of my youth I didn't get round to finishing it!

I've had new springs and shocks all round, need standard steel wheels.. (Was going to get minilites but as i said, got a Mk1 golf now)

pics of the car please and do you have the engine code of that which is currently fitted? how many miles had it covered before being transplanted into the polo bud?

what size engin is it ??

The engine in the car now is a 1.3 but the polo is registered as a 1 litre!

I'm not sure on the engine code i'm afraid .... Any ideas how to check?

Not sure on the mileage either unfortunatley =/ I bought the whole car off a mate of mine as he had bought a Mk2 golf!
