I'm 19 atm paying 1700 all mods declared (i have a lowered mk3 gt conversion manifold exhaust p+p head and also cage and buckets for when i get them :) ) thats with a broker called thames city insurance

mike.

i turn next month and my renewal on my 1l is £700 with admiral. just to give you the other end of the spectrum ;)

i had a GT at 18 nearly 19. Never paid anymore than 800 quid with the mods declared.

Admiral, been with them for every year I've been driving! Which ever company i go too they always come up with a cheaper premium

on a 1.3 not gt i got it down to 1150 but ringing will get me less and iv done my pass plus and 1 year no claims so I'm hoping for 1k mark

how much extra is it to declare stuff like bucket seats and alloys and coilovers?

some place dont charges you as overs will put you are premium up and charge u a admin fee charge every time you want to change some thing

if you can convince your rents to go on admiral as well you can go on multicar which will save you even more ;).

as for mods, got a quote for a 1.4 8v 6n the other day for 920 stock, 950 with coilovers. (however you have to tell them when they ask how much its lowered by that its 40mm or less ;) )

edit: also wheels generally don't change things unless they are a lot bigger than standard, and i wouldn't even bother declaring seats

I'm looking to insure any car atm.

I'm 18 and passed a month ago, I heard polo's were expensive to insure, like Adrian Flux gave me £3345 for a 1.0 polo. Tried a 1.0 corsa with admiral, £3188 with my mum on my insurace, any ideas?

This is with the car being garaged at night and everything.

I've got to the point I couldnt give a shit what car I have, I just want to be able to drive, how are you guys getting such low quotes?

I'm paying £1800 for a 2000 1.4 6n2

I've been told that my insurance is pretty cheap compared to some other people i know?

Have you tried using sites like gocompare?

I'm 18 and have a GT and i pay £2254 third party, just got got a quote from admiral as renewal is coming up and its going down to 950 all mods declared and fully comp. Amazing what having your license for a year can do.
