What is the best insurance company to go with?

I currently have a 1400cc 16v polo.

The quotes i been getting so far are stupidly high. Each quote so far has been just over £9000, on comparison sites.

How old are you?

I've seen people on here say they get much better quotes by ringing around, and that price comparison sites overcharge.

May be worthwhile adding other people to the policy.

definately ring around, for my first year i found comparison sites cheaper, but for second year i found ringing around the difference was about 600 quid. Brentacre gave me quote for 700 and aidrian flux wernt much more. I've heard they are couple of the best to go for.

I'm 17 and yeah everyone has said ringing about is much better than comparison.

Any idea which are the best companies for someone of my age?
