today i decided to flush my cooling system as it was a merky colour and i did this on my last car which was a 2.0 and the job was in all honesty a peice of p***

but this job didnt go to well i think ?

i removed my radiator,fan, and cooler filler

put a garden hose in the top pipe on th top of the cam and switched on the water slowly, it filled up fast and shot out the same pipe but only little tricklets was coming out the bottom pipe, so i tryed the reverse flush and nothing came out

is this a restriction in the system? or what?

when i drained the coolant (water+anti freeze) when i filled it in march 2011 it was a nice blue :p

it came out jet black with particals :S and this car hasnt moved off my drive since i bought it (had to turn it around) i have ran the engine a few times and did tests on my brakes which gave my 16+ miles on the clock lol, but that aside, what can i do to remove this "restriction" or is it normal, second what can i do to thoroughly clean the system, I've cleaned the pipes, radiator (flushed it) and the filler (all slimey inside and black its yellow on the outside)

and ideas?

i think the restriction is the thermostat also use g11 (blue) or g12 coolant (red), if your going to the hassle of flushing it i would go for g12 as it lasts much longer but cant be mixed with g11/blue coolent

you need to remove the thermostat to flush the engine side out.
