6N Fog Lights Loom

Featured Replies

Looking into fitting fog lights to my 6N, it's only an 8v but has 16v bumpers.

The link below has a loom ready made which you can buy. It says that you will need to source another switch in order to turn fog lights on, and a relay. Does this just mean I would need to get a switch from a 6N which has front fogs? And which relay would I need.

Thanks

That's correct, any 6n ( early or late ) switch also seat Ibiza ones will fit.

As for the relay there is a vw relay which is hard to comeby or something however a standard spst relay works just fine (4 pin relay, 20,30 or 40 amp)

Also you can mak this yourself and there is a guide on here somewhere

They way I did it was mak up a a peice of wire from the switch to back of fusebox, and then 2 wire to each light in the bumper from the multiblock connector to the right of the raditor in the engine bay.

That all really

try the search as i recall a member called pepe installing fogs

Hi, that loom will plug into the 19 pin disconnect plug by the radiator, the wire is in the existing wiring loom from the disconnect back up to the fusebox, you will then have install a new wire from the headlight switch to the connectors on the rear of the fusebox, but this all covered in the fitting guide in the FAQ's at the top of the electrical questions page.
