YSR 6n/6n2 Monotube Fast Road coilover kit - Can do ULTRA LOW Spec

Featured Replies

These guys are a new company offering some lovely suspension for all sorts of cars. Really seem to put the care into their products...

The Dynamic pro sport coilover kits are designed and developed for all motoring enthusiasts wanting excellent handling without sacrificing ride quality. This suspension system features 33-way adjustable dampening settings and full length adjustment to meet every driver’s handling desires. The spring ratings have been carefully chosen for the ideal balance between daily driving, fast road, and occasional track use. Then the large range of dampening adjustments can be made to provide a variety of responses to different road conditions and mainly to tune the ride and drive to suit your driving requirements.

Some details about the coilovers...

The spring is made from high quality SAE9254 steel for optimal durability and high tensile strength. The spring rate remains unchanged and undeformed even after the spring has been subjected to long term wear and repeated compression.

This coilover utilises a bearing mounted between the spring and spring seat to make the handling more agile and to elimiate any noise in spring movement. This design enables the spring and shock to perform together more effectively. The spring seats are made from forged aluminium for durability and rigidity.

The shock body is coated with Electroplating treatment to prevent rust, corrosion and seizing. They have developed their own formula of dampening oil which contains high quality deformer to prevent foaming, and the viscosity remains unchanged under any working temperature conditions to ensure that all internal components perform perfectly.

Now one of the best bets in my opinion... The hub mounting bracket of the coilover is threaded so the whole unit can be lowered into hub mount whilst retaining full spring and damper travel! Also enabling the proper low to go that bit lower without it feeling like they are driving on 4 pogo sticks.

The needle valve piston (material imported from Sweden) is utilized to make the steering more agile and to stabilize the vehicle. A high rigidity 52mm shock body with extra oil capacity enables the cushioning force to have optimal linear change. We use highly reputable seal brand – NOK, whose seals can withstand high temperatures and still prevent oil leakage. The piston rod is made from high quality S45C steel and is processed with Thermal Refining and High-frequency Induction Hardening Treatments for rigidity and durability. The shock stroke movement has been tested 10 million times on advanced testing equipment; this amount of testing is equal to a vehicle with 5-years of mileage. Each component of the suspension system is rigorously inspected and strictly tested avoid any sort of damper failure.

The RRP for this coilover kit is £895 including from outside the EU (£125)

Now I can do an introductory offer of £595! This includes air freight with DHL, and should only take about a week for the order process to come through.

The only real catch is, unfortunately I can only assume there will be some sort of import charges (VAT) as they come from outside the EU, but.... They will be sent as a "sample kit" labled to be worth $100, so taxes should be very minimal) either way still works out to be an absolute bargain by comparison to most out there. I should be recieving a kit for my car soon, so will update with the estimated charges.

Need to know whether you are ordering a 6n or 6n2 kit.

Pictures of a full kit to follow.

For £680 I can offer the Premuim Pro Sport coilover kit, which has much stiffer damper valving and a stiffer spring rating, this is aimed mainly for competition, and track use. Although those who want to run -120mm all the time could benefit.

I cant believe Polos were made to be that high..

Is that as low as it drops? And can you replace the seals? I know is a nooby question but I've never asked..

The spring seats are still adjustable to go lower like on normal coilovers, just in talks about making the next set a bit lower. Seals should be replacable from your local decent shock rebuilders if need be, but they come with a 15 month warranty.

Whats the max drop on the 6n kit and I'm digging that they have no helpers and shorter shocks on the front would like to see a 6n kit fitted at full drop. Would be quite interested after xmas if you can still get hold of these mate.

A review will be out in the next couple of days regarding these lovely YSRs. I personally will be snapping them up, and I'll post a fitting guide since we dont seem to have one on clubpolo :)

I'd really like a review, my back shock's seal has given up, so I'm looking at getting a new set..

600 is really steep for a set of coilies; wanna know what they're like first!

6n kit will drop the same as a 6n2, its the same car essentially!

The above shows just the drop available from the hub mounting point, and if you want it to go lower you can lower the spring seat like a normal coilover.

A review should be out shortly, for what they give they are very good IMO. Have a look at a similarly priced monotube coilover for comparison!

whats the ultra low spec one man?

Apologies, missed this, basically the new kits are supplied with shorter springs than above, and if you want to go for an Ultra Low kit, you'll get the shorter springs and a shortened shock body all round to see silly lows.

Has anyone tried these babies? Really want to know if you can roll really low without problems!

  • Author

You can go silly low if have the ultra low kit with the shortened bodies. Otherwise they will go about 100mm.

Can you supply the premium pro sport version you mentioned in ultra low ??

  • Author

I can indeed.

  • 1 year later...

How much for a 6n2 kit delivered? Have you got pictures of the ultra low kit for track use as it comes in the box?

Cheers

Matt
