how hard is it do grind the lips off on the rear of a polo coupe? tyres catching after been lowerd 70 mm any thing i need to know?

theoretically you shouldnt, as thats one of the points that holds the two skins of the rear 1/4 in place. Along with exposing it to water getting in after opening them up with a grinder.

Your call. I wouldnt. Get them rolled. 50 odd quid or whatever it is to get rears rolled.

Wrong section too.

Also making it sharp, so if it still rubs you'll be changing your tyres in a few days :lol:

and heat of the grinding could bubble and ruin the paint

if you must do it , clean it up and only grind to the edge of the spot welds so it still has its strength

as the others have said it will make it prone to rust and isnt a nice job

WHats wrong with making some slits and folding the lip up? (ANd rust protect it obv) This is what i plan to do as we dont have arch rollers over here and ferry and treavel makes it a tad expensive
