White Mk3 Polo Coupe 1.0 For Sale

Featured Replies

I am selling my 'J' Plate Polo Coupe.

I bought it April 2009 to take me to work over the summer. In this time I've done 10,000 mixed miles, but mainly country lanes and more recently motorway driving. I have kept it longer than I expected because I kind of like it....:p but, I have just inherited my parents old car (a boring French hatch) so I now have three cars, which means it must go :(

The Good:

Its done 108,000 miles and runs beautifully, smooth gearbox, surprisingly swift for only a 1.0, I have been getting 41-46mpg no problem (I can even show you a graph on my aCar app :)) The engine doesn't burn oil, and I always drive carefully when cold.

MOT until mid October

TAX until end of October

Cheap to insure (I only pay £230 a year)

Recent Battery (Good quality Heavy Duty) & new live and earth cables

Recent exhaust rear section (cat back)

Recent service - NGK's & Leads, Castrol & Filter, Distributor Cap & Rotor Arm, Air filter.

New wiper blades & washer lines

New Brembo's up front with Pagid pads (I also have a set of unfitted new rear shoes to go with it)

New front brake lines

New fuel tank and filter.

New rear N/S and O/S wheel bearings

All four tyres have good tread left on them, Pirelli upfront and Stunner HP's on the rear

Cambelt was changed just before I purchased it.

The Bad:

Its got some rust - Cosmetic, wings, doors. Looking underneath the body is solid.

The boot catch is sticky so the boot doesn't close as well as it should

Drivers seat has some wear, and won't fold forward

The Heater/Blower motor only works on maximum

When indicating left its necessary to hold the stalk down (it passed MOT with this fault)

The rear screen heater switch doesn't light up, so will need replacing (I cannot confirm whether the heater itself works)

A piece of rubber trim is missing from the passenger door seal (It is watertight)

The Ugly:

It has a rather nasty dent on the passenger side rear quarter just in front of the light unit, it is cosmetic so I have never fixed it. The paint is damaged, and the area has rusted over.

It has had a recent starting issue when hot. This has been discussed in a recent technical thread. But I have not confirmed a sure fix. So for the purposes of the advert, worst case scenario is a new starter motor.

Viewing in Chelmsford, Essex (or possibly in nr Norwich, Norfolk). I am available most evenings from 4pm. Please PM me or leave a message here to arrange a viewing

I have listed everything as I don't want to waste anyones time with this.

I am asking £300

Photos to follow.
