Just got my first car and was lucky enough to get this! Just gonna work on it over quite a long time starting off with decorative changes that won't make my insurance sore sky high. It came with the black rims, tinted rears, vinyl black roof and I think they installed a better sound system. So far I'm just planning on minor exterior changes but hopefully I'll save up enough to lower it later on this year and install a better sound system. Figured I'd document it somewhere!

17 next month haha! Can't stress how happy I am! Although it means I can't lower it for a while, especially as I haven't got a job yet but I'm getting one soon. So far I'm just doing decorative changes, painting the brake calipers red, got a few decals for it and hopefully picking up a GTI front grill and black VW badge for the front. Once I'm working I'll install a sub and amp and hopefully lower it, I'm aiming to do that late this year/early next

Well I'll keep it updated whenever I do something to it! Applying a couple of decals next time I got to my dad and hopefully painting my brakes so I'll take some photos when it's done!

And I'd go for this! I prefer this new shape Polo way more over the MK6 Golf, I haven't driven it yet so I can't say how it rides but my Dad has driven a lot of cars and said he's pretty impressed with it

Welcome to the club!

Personally I wouldn't cover it in stickers it looks good as it with the black wheels. A GTI grill but with out the GTI badge (if you can get them) would look good as with the Black VW badges. Also I really wouldn't paint the callipers red. It only draws attention to the small brakes, just leave them sliver :)

Just got a quote for lowering, if I buy the springs it'll cost me total about £300 but then I've got insurance prices on top of that so I'll have to wait a bit for that

Yeah I'm gonna try and get the grill without, I saw a guy on performance VW who bought one but still had the TDI badge on the front. I know what you mean about the brakes but I really think it'll work against the black rims. I think I'll go for it and see how it looks, worse comes to worst I can just paint them silver again.

I'm not gonna over sticker it just a few tastful ones, one on each skirt and maybe 1 or two white ones on the rear window

If I can work a couple of shifts a week I should be able to get this baby lowered sometime this year. Gonna do that before looking at a sound system since it's been upgraded from stock already and is currently bearable.

Also I called up my local VW dealership and found out I can get a GTI front grill for £70 which I may pick up this weekend. Although slight problem with that, if you check here http://www.gtini.com/index.php?name=Forums...sc&start=30 the GTI badge can't be removed without leaving a knick in the grill however I found this guy http://i1199.photobucket.com/albums/aa480/...gm/DSC_0934.jpg I'm assuming he replaced the GTI badge with the TDI badge so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could pick up a TSI badge? Or if I'd be able to get it changed at the dealer? I figured it's better having TSI on the front since that's a 1.2 rather than it looking like I'm trying to make out I've got a GTI when it's gonna be no where near as quick

Also what does everyone think to perhaps having the side mirrors black?

Might sound daft bttt - why not use the small metal badge off the Fabia that is engraved with "TSI" and a coloured square in it if you want to be different? Might be a bit narrow as its about 1" wide. Probably about 1/2" longer than the Polo badge on the boot though.

Either that or just go back into the stealer and ask them to order you a Polo (not sure if they have one or if its just the Polo badge) / Golf Mk 6 TSi rear badge (if you want BIG letters) or a Passat / Jetta rear badge if you want the slimline letters.
