Gold Mk1 caddy gtd

Thought i would put this up for sale here.

For sale is my caddy gtd, I put it up for sale a couple of months ago with no tax or mot and a few minor problems with it but after getting low offers i decided to send it too my local garage and get everything fixed. Found a few more problems then i first thought but also parts on it that i didn't know were fitted, i am now putting it back up for sale as now it has tax and mot

Since it was last for sale it has had 5 speed linkage fitted with new bushes fitted, feels nice. Fuel pump adjusted on it so its not running as rich as before, new front brake pads, new rear shoes and wheel cylinders. New brake pressure regulator and rear brake pipes. new radiator fan. There was a problem with the electrics as not all the lights would work so this has been rectified.

Over the time i have owned it i have also fitted a new battery, serviced it, got a got some welding done to the sills and the bed, cleaned the engine bay, fitted a new wiper motor, painted the bed, raised the suspension as it was ridiculously low, new sump gasket and just generally tidied her up.

The engine was fitted by a member on here who's name i can't remember and i am not sure of the mileage although gtds seem too last forever as i have seen a few with 200-250,000. It has a garrett turbo and larger injectors fitted and a bleed valve for winding up the boost. I do believe though it could do with a tune up by a diesel specialist or rolling road set up to get her running optimal, depending how long it takes too sell i may get it done myself. This engine should easily develop 150hp possibly more, they are people on vwdiesel.net running nearly 200hp form these gtds.

The bodywork is in good condition, not a show car but good, Only thing is a small dent in the tailgate which isn't that noticeable. Solid underneath as i had it checked over and any welding that needed doing was done. Front has adjustable coilovers and rear has flipped axle with no lowering blocks atm.

The exhaust is a side exit and was on it when i bought it, it bangs on the body a bit at idle, but i will supply with the car a stainless exhaust that was given too me with the car. or you could take it too an exhaust place a get it modified too fit better, sounds amazing when it comes on boost . Will also come with race tech boost gauge, oil pressure, oil temp gauge which are fitted but not wired in and a wooden retro looking steering wheel.

BBS RA's sprayed in gun metal grey with almost new tyres.

Price is £2200 as thats what it owes me, and to be honest for a caddy as solid, good looking, and the engine being quite rare I think its a fair price.

Car is located near Heathrow airport. Not looking for swaps unfortunately.
