I have decided that the polo just isn't practical enough for what I need so it's up for sale.

It's a 1987 polo coupe s with 126,000 miles and tax and mot till dec 2011 the car itself was a bit of a wreck when I got it.

The car was completely faded and looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months

But as you can see from the pictures that's not the case now.

Here are the specs of the car

1.3 8v coupe s bottom end, gt head and weber carb on a gk manifold

Lowered on a 60/80 kit

13x6.5 bbs mahles with nankangs and 10mm rear stub axle spacers

Englemann mirrors with original mk2 polo fixings

Recaro seats

Boarded out rear ( rear seats included)

280mm mountney steering wheel

I have just recently refurbished the plastic arches so the look brand new.

Now for the no so good bits

The roof and bonnet have batches where the sun has gone through the paint

Rust patches on the bottoms of the doors but only just bubbling

And it missing one of the arch trims as it fell off as I was on the way to work (but can be picked up on here for £5)

Also the retaining nut that holds the throttle cable in place is wrong so the choke doesn't work

No service history but have a huge folder of receipts

There are small patches of rust on the bottoms of the doors and on the petrol cap

Haven't looked at the mot certificate but will have a look when I get in from work

Would you say its surface rust or a new door job? ahh as long as there is some documentation! how long have you ran your engine set up? sorry for all these questions just had a few nightmares with trying to buy cars ahah!

No it's just started to come through the paint the doors are solid

The engine set up had been like it since I got the car at the beginning of June
