Right i have been a member for few months and not made a thread about my car so yeah

I bought it from swansea back end of May 2011, Itsdone 102 , 000 Miles, Cost me 700 and she's in alright condition , I thought that i payed quiet abit for the Polo but i've being thinking because its got good paintwork, Well apart from the arches.

My brother drove her back from Swansea to North Lincolnshire, She did well the beaut without any problems to say it was 200 miles,

Some info on the car When bought 2011

1992 J Reg Polo Coupe 1.3

Mileage : 102,000

Colour : Grey (Pearl Grey) LA7U

Suspension : 60MM Front 40MM Rear

Rims : Borbet T's 14inch

Brakes : VWII Calipers, Bremo Pads and Disks.

As for doing things to it, My brother wants to put a different engine init and also all work will be carried out by myself and him, He has a 400 BHP Audi A3 , 150-400 £5000 ha ;) Can't forget my Grandad aswell!

I Needed a new bumper as when i decided to take mine off due to this,

So after i had took it off, This is the damage obviously someone has tryed fixing it.

Annoyed as its a colour coded bumper, So the mission was on to repair it or a new bumper, This is what the back end looks like, I will be updating soon.

So over the weekend it was time to find that bumper replacement as i said I'm my last post :)

Right so went to the scrappy praying that i found a MK3 Coupe there, My look the beaut was still there in SCUNTHORPE!

Found one and took it off :)

Woohoo! In good nick, Right had to pay £15 bit steep?

Took the bumper back home, Now its either get it colour code for £50 but I'm a student i haven't got that kind of dolla hanging around...

Thinking can i transfer the bracket parts over.

Someone has had that drivers door off it since i was last there, they had a dark green one in stacked right at the top a few years back, was mint, only 56k on it and i couldnt find a fault with it unless the head gasket had gone or something daft :? we had the radio out of it, orginal VW one which jumped into my tool box and wouldnt come out until i got out of the gates (bloody thing) :lol: :lol:

You recon it will still be there mate. Keep looking at my thread I'm doing some good work soon..Spraying drums, Sound system, Changing brake discs, Her first wash :) , Alsorts Phil?

Thats the only mk3 in eva's, try edleys on scotter bottom, i heard they had a genesis in there, if they do, let me know please lol :-D

Right so yesterday we attempted to fix the bumper,

So we started to take the other brackets off the original bumper, My grandad loves grinding!

Anyway they came off, So from there we just left the bits the brackets attach to so we can then put some other brackets on,

Then we just had to get the new bumpers brackets off

Right so after screwing some screws in with some washers and then silcone each screwed area, I left them to dry.

ALSO:

One off the brackets on my parcel shelf came off, So we repaired that aswell

I found a grey one on here so i used that.

Serious operation, At least i can say i have a refurbed BLACK parcel shelf :)
