Hey guys n gals, I'm jordan from exeter 8-)

Not long ago i sold my lupo due to wanting some new to dip my hands into.

Back on subject

After a few weeks of looking around before i sold the lupo and speaking to a few people, i decided on a polo.

Stubbled across this quiet gem, so went and had a quick look over and decided to take it

Shes the 1L enginge with 57k on the clock with FSH and 12months MOT

Overall a great car, not as nippy as the lupo by any means but I've realised i dont do much driving anyway...

mainly in and around citys with the occasional venture somewhere.

So the 1L seemed a good option and was cheap on the insurance aswell

bought in standard start of feb12 looking like this.

6861586407_ea3fa48d1b_z.jpg

bought some FK coilies a few days later and lowered it.

6899305887_88021a7a41_z.jpg

fitted some new HT leads and spark plugs also changed the oil and fitted new air filters.

6929072321_671e8baa2c_z.jpg

Also bought a 280mm momo the other day courtesy of my mum for my birthday :D

Fitted/ sorted out a few issues with the car including a full valet/ debadge/ dewiper etcccc.

I also fitted the GTi splitter today but haven't had a chance to sort pics of it yet.

Next on the list is some pressed plates/ new rear/ front bumpers and new headlights/ side lights...

I've taken a bold step and decided to get the car ready for a possible position in "show n shine" at e38 this year...

This will be my first attempt at doing something like this so i guess if it goes bad, its a learning curve for myself :)

I've now got a vision in my head of how i want the polo to look come show season...

After a few long discussions wheels have been decided on but dont think ill reveal them until they arrive

I've also planned out all the body work and interior changes for what i want to achieve in my head!! (fingers crossed)

So this is the start, hopefully i can start on pretty soon and get the ball rolling

wish me luck :ninja:

Thanks

Decided to start on the bodywork today, started with colour coding the side strips. i will move onto the rear and front bumpers once these are done... taking longer than expected though. only managed to complete one tonight.

started with 80grit then moved onto 400wet...primer then 800wet, prime again then paint, then 800wet the paint (it turned out shit) second coat of paint turned out better. then finished it off with some lacquer... took it outside too check the paint against the car and its a perfect match (cant really see in the photos though) i need to clean off the old sticky strips as you can see the dirt below it. i'll gonna finish off the rest tomorrow night as I'm off out for a meal now.

Thanks carl, took about 1.5hour for that one strip. lol, should be worth it in the end.

I've got a few wheel choices in mind - gonna wait and see what my bonus is like this month.

see if i can warrant buying them instead of saving up lol.

hahaha yeah, my wheel decided to come loose :shock:

Anywayyy...

A little update on a personal and car level, managed to get a new job :ninja:

so that means i can get the ball rolling again with the polo and start buying new parts.

Also, as the weather was exceptionally nice today thought i would go and give the polo a nice clean and polish.

Anyway, took off the old sticky resin on the side strips ready for new paint and glue.

It turned out pretty well! gonna order a few parts on payday (I need wheels!!!)

VW Polo 6n2 £1850ono

Car specs:

1.0L E

60,000 miles

Long service history

Fk Coilovers

Long MOT/ Tax

White 5dr Polo

After a very short but exciting run with my polo, Its come the time to sell due to personal reasons.

This car runs perfect and starts everytime without fail, since owning the car i have done a few subtle mods to the appearance that includes a debaged rear boot lid and also a wiper arm removal, the front badge has been sprayed black and the car has been lowered on FK Height adjustable Coilovers, only a few small changes that are easily reversible if it isnt to your liking.

I have lots of receipts and service history included with the sale, which inlcudes recent thermostat, Ht leads, spark plugs and alternator replacement. Like i said this car runs a dream and is amazing on fuel.

The body work is in pretty much mint condition apart from a few niggles on some panels which you would expect from a car nearly 12years old, i bought the car from the previous owner in this state and haven't inflicted any "damage" if you could call it that to the car since owning it. the rear bumper has a few scuffs, likewise with the front bumper. i did plan on getting these resprayed eventually if you want a clean car through out, but i just haven't had the time or cash to get it done. as you can see from the pics I've uploaded, it gives a nice shine when washed and polished!

The main thing to mention would be the driver side front wing has a golf ball size dent which was there when i bought it, i have been quouted £32 for a new wing from allparts in marsh barton as a replacement (before paint obviously) but it doesnt really bother me that much, the rear arches have been rolled and pulled due to myself running some banded steels for a little while. there's no rust anywhere on the body or in the engine bay, the car is a dream :) just needs a little TLC to get it looking to my satisfaction which unfortunately i cant commit to at the moment... a truly regretable sale

Oh on another note, i dont have the side strips as i was planning on smoothing this over eventually so these arent included in the sale but I'm sure a local breakers yard would sell you them for pennies.

Car is located in exeter, devon... ring/ text me for more info 07969829787, Jordan.

Open too sensible offers
