Being on here a couple of months now, here is my 6n2 which started as a 2002, 1.4 8v Match, roll on 9 weeks and it now has 1.6 gti engine and 6 speed box, leather from colour concept, not going daft on outside so leaving it plain and simple. wont be everyone's cup of tea but its mine. will get some better pics when it stops raining and its had a proper clean.

Should of been quicker, but with work and waiting on stuff it soon knocks you back. Have had a problem with box, third gear disappeared so just swapping it out and then strip faulty one rebuild and sell on as its quicker. after that look for another head to play with, cams and exhaust then remap. then for the future I think it needs a eaton in its life.

Its got the engine and the 6 speed box in it now thats why it took 9 weeks to sort, and to the sharp eyed, yes this was out of Richs motor. :-D

Ye exactly! i was hoping you wouldnt say what had been done, i also know like and hope you kept it a secret for abit longer.

I'm only pissed off that 3rd gear disapeared, but have another box so hoping to put in this weekend, its getting too close with some peeps not having 3rd :-D

Cheers, I bought them off a lad on dubs north east, and he has being trying to buy them back ever since, its a understatement to say he regrets selling them.

Well New box is in so have the full array of 6 forward and 1 reverse gears, its like driving a different car having 3rd back in the fold :-D

Have also took the coilers off and fitted gti shocks with spax lowering springs, this suits my driving style and my back better

Wow nice transformation, Whats it like with a 6 speed on the Gti Engine.

Top gears are about the same, just have more scope between 2nd and 6th when playing :grin:

Cleaned bay with gunk and a paintbrush, rinsed off, dried and covered with wd40, left for 15 minutes then all wiped off with microfibre cloth, keep wiping off till all gone, bay left looking clean and standard.
