VW Caddy van Kombi

Here is my VW Caddy kombi van.

I have owned the van for 9 months and it has been a great runabout and not had one problem with it since i purchased it.

The van is a 1.9 SDi which isnt the quickest but has plenty of torque and I get around 50-60 mpg which is ideal with fuel prices at the minute.

It has covered 98000 miles which may rise slightly as I use the van daily, I have covered 8000 miles since I bought it with no problems.

It is a rare caddy kombi which has windows all round and rear seats from factory, which is what made me go for the van as can still seat 5 people similar to an estate but have the extra head room and load space with the seats folded flat.

It has MOT till August and tax until about June.

Has a kenwood cd player, smaller mirrors from a polo saloon and some multi fitment 100+ 15" alloys.

The interior is all clean the seats have no rips or bolster wear and all seat belts work correctly front and back.

Has a brink tow bar fitted which can be unbolted and the tow ball removed when not in use.

Tinted rear lights by the previous owner.

Electric mirrors and windows.

Since owning the van i have cleaned up the bodywork and interior as it needed a few bits sorting out and now I have got it to looking factory fresh except for the wheels which want replacing really I just haven't got around to changing them as there is too much choice.

Bad points

Previous owner covered the rear interior panels in fabric which came off so there is some traces of spray mount on the rear door cards this may come off with some tar remover or could do with being recovered

The front and rear seats are different colours but this hasnt bothered me I think the previous owner changed the front seats as the originals were worn.

Some surface rust on passenger sill and now there is a small hole that has developed.

Slight surface bubblin on drivers side sill.

Rear passenger side arch has some rust around the edge and a scratch above the arch.

Above the cab there is a circular patch of rust around an inch in size.

Where an aerial has been fitted on the roof it has rusted and there is a ptch around 2 inch in diameter which wants looking at.

Passenger side window doesnt go down.

Has a noisey wheel bearing when turning left and sounds like its the drivers side that needs replacing.

These are the only bad points on the van which isnt much for a 12 year old caddy van compared to some.

I was going to sort out these patches of rust as I wasnt sure what i wanted to do with the van i had plans to flip axle and get some wheels then i would sort out the rust and recover the interior but I haven't got round to it so would be up to the buyer, but the van is a great base for a project and doesnt need much work to get it looking sweet.

I have also got some spares for the van such as roof bars, glove box, bumper grills, window blinds and maybe some other bits too.

If the van doesnt sell I will keep it and clean the bits up that I have pointed out. I am wanting to sell as I dont really have any need for a van and would prefer something smaller, cheaper and quicker so am open to swaps or cash sale.

cars I have been looking at are mk3 polo gt, 6n 16 valve, lupo/arosa sport, 6n2/lupo gti etc. Try me!
