331 bhp 6n PVW Cover Car

Featured Replies

Guys, this has probably been coming for a while but been putting it off. I love the car but in all honesty i've been planning to revamp the car for over two years now and its still sitting in the garage looking sorry for itself.

The car is a 1995 polo 6n with JBS converted 1.8 20vT

The car makes 331bhp / 377lb/ft

I'll sort some pics of current condition but this will possibly be more aimed at using as a donor car for someone looking to do a conversion on their 6n.

If intersted please read this carefully.

Without being a big head this is one of best 20vT conversions you will see on this forum. Its not been about for a couple of years but those who have been into the scene for a few years will know this.

What separates it from the rest? Well...

The conversion was carried out by JBS who are regarded as one of the best and with prices to match, for good reason.

Every aspect of the conversion has been carried out to the highest standard.

The conversion has been carried out for about six / seven years and in that time the only failure has been a drive shaft and smashed sump. The driveshafts were both subsequently custom made and are good for 600lb/ft torque. the smashed sump was due to me running low and i have a shallow sump to go with the car.

I have done about 15K in the car attending shows across europe with no dramas.

I have done three performance shootouts at bruntingthorpe where the car reliably ran sub 5 second 0-60 times with a best of 4.8 secs proven!

As a package this really is a stonking engine / setup.

Nearly everyone puts a remapped 20vT in and plans to make the upgrades later but mainy fail to do so, not in this case.

It was built properly first time around.

This was the first 6n polo to run dbw vvt, so much better (and harder) than to run a throttle cable

The engine is a low mileage S3 BAM 225 block with a large port AGU head

The car runs a IHI VF34 turbo

port matched 225 inlet manifold

3” Air Mass Flow Sensor

Custom 3” Downpipe and Exhaust

Custom Boost Hoses

JBS Custom Engine Mounts

Front Mounted Intercooler

4 Bar Fuel Pump

Custom-Code Phase 3 software

Green Dynatwist Intake

The transmission is a 02J 5 speed box with quaife ATB diff, G60 flywheels with Helix clutch

The car utilises the full S3 engine loom including clocks and ECU. Basically all sensors etc are there as per an S3.

It is super reliable, NEVER had a running issue, runs and drives like a stock 20vT only faster

It has G60 front brakes with uprated disks and pads, polo gti rear disk conversion

KW Variant II coilovers.

The list really does go on and on.

To make the show car again it would need a couple of grand spending on it (being very honest) on some bodywork and paint.

Comes with (or without) lots of spares detailed below.

Like i said at the beginning, the car would be ideal for someone who wants to keep their car and convert it. A conversion to this spec by JBS, PSI or any of the top companies would still set you back the thick end of 10K so you can imagine what it cost 7 years ago.

If you priced up the bits it has over most 20vT polos you'd cover most of the cost ie: turbo and all associatd bits, downpipe, mapping, diff etc.

I have owned and driven other 20vT polo 6n's and this really is in a different league.

If anyone is interested in the car to put back on the road and show again i have the following that could come with the car

Custom hybrid front bumper, the last one i made never used

Shortie tailgate

If anyone is interested in the car as a whole then i can list out all the bodywork mods carried out but thats for another time.

Some pics from yesteryear. Please note the doors are sold, the interior is sold (now stock 16v) and will come with no wheels

Hello mate! Have you got any pics of what it looks like at the moment? What'd it need to make it presentable?

Hey mate, hows things?

Yeah i can sort some tomorrow hopefully.

I sold the doors and interior so bought a dragon green GLX. Used all interior, dash, leccy windows etc on mine and the doors.

The front bumper is as per the pics so gelcoat from the fibreglass mould

The doors arn't great to be honest but keeps it water tight

Its mainly just neglected and picked up a few scratches from a couple of years of garage storage.

Looks wicked!

Would i struggle to get a piant match on these new doors now?

I assume its taking a bit of a price drop on 4k now its not a complete car?

Paint match would be no problem. I have the code, may even have some of the base somewhere. I've had a few bits painted over the years and never had issues.

Price is as per the pics mate. Its complete but as mentioned needs some paints and cosmetics.

Bearing in mind you couldn't even build the engine with the components used for 4K there is no drop in the price
