Welcome to my build thread guys, its taken a while to do but I've finally got round to it.

I'll start off by saying that "eboue the polo" wasnt entirely built by me. My good friend Chris121 Gelstharp put his hard work into it and a trip to gti international in it last year made me fall in love with the car. He had already put ap coilovers, ats cups, a healthy dose of stickers, lightening mcqueen headlining and a bit of paint splatter to the interior, so it was by no means standard, add to that a cheeky upswept/angled powerflow exhaust and eboue was looking sweet.

Now its in my hands its time to make it my own....wish me luck

on the winter steels

i saw this smoothed 16v bumper on facebook and knew what i had to do

i bought this off will "cleaned-uk" smith just needs to be sprayed.

and I've bought another body panel from will, but this is as far as I've got so far, hope you like

...oh and if your wondering why its called "eboue" its because of the last three letters of the reg plate lol

better give this a quick update. okay so whats new? well since the last time i visited this poor build thread ideas have snowballed and lots have happened including 2 sets of wheels worth over £2000 a big ass rear view mirror, splitters, show bolts, that "other body panel from will" which took an eternity to collect! (by the way if any of you have the pleasure of going round will smiths house he has THE most fucking awesome hill to go down just before you get to his ) some more lowering, no more threads left on the coils!! ermm oh yeah mk2 ford focus rs vents and some rubber to come for the rims.

been a busy boy, my money has been 90% car 10% nandos

a run down of all that i have bought:

16X6 audi pepperpots - orange with polished lip £110

3 piece Schmidt modern lines - 16 x 7.5f 16 x 8r with radinox dishes, gold raised centre caps, gold split rim bolts (with 3 extra's as spare, how nice) £1750

NASCAR 5 panel wink mirror - £35

D1 spec red lug nuts - £38

MKII Ford Focus RS bonnet vents £28

Angry eye bonnet with washer jets smoothed - £100

Golf VR6 splitter (the old one was cut too short to fit the new valver bumper THANKS CHRIS!!) £16

Lots of halfords rattle cans - £mates rates, friends in right places

Nankang ns2 165/40/16 for the schmidts £165

Tantrums - £free

Nandos - £between 12 and 22 depending how i feel

enough reading, waiting for pics to be uploaded so keep watching, shouldnt be too long until Eboue is moving again....hopefully :/

gotta ask .. are you fitting the vr splitter to your 16v bumper ? forgot to ask you about it

Will look wicked when the pots are polished mate!!!

The pepperpots should tie in nicely with the overall look when they are polished, and yes Chris the vr splitter is going back on

The bumper sitting in. Credit to my friends Joe Hobbs who body mopped it for me. Had a tiny burn in the corner of the mouth but nothing noticable.

RS vents to be cut out and fitted soon. I have 2 weeks off so i have no excuses!

gone for 165/40 so will be lots of stretch, after that and when they are actually on the car i'll then decide how much camber i want

Completely forgot i ordered a new vr6 splitter. so the first thing i done was get some paint and sandpaper and cracked the hell on with it...

much better than the crap textured grey it comes as :)

Thanks man, I'm putting the vr splitter on still, i might just keep the bonnet matte black for now, quite like it. I got the nascar mirror from amazon mate

was gonna tackle it today but thought id wait until i had the right equipment, was gonna chop the centres down to size and melt them down and stick em together, if you have fitted one before have you got a pic or guidelines for me?

Finally got tyres! Nankang NS II 165/40/16 on 7.5J & 8J

And the moment that makes it all worth it! No back seat passengers please!
