So watching PimpMyRideUK from back in 2007 and on comes the '91 breaddy. Has anyone seen this episode or even the car going around? Why do they have to ruin cars.the only good thing they did with it is the debadged grille.

Was on Ebay a wile back for stupid money..

Been on eBay loads of times, either sold or was pulled at less than £900 on one occasion.

Bad as it is, it'd be a shame to see it get changed. My cousin's an air hostess, if it gets that money again I'll have a bid..

Is this the one with the 747 seats in the front...that was a god damn awful looking car iirc.

Not this again.

Is that spoiler to stop it taking off or is it used to conduct electricity when driving under power lines?!

If you took the spoiler and body kit off it and removed the stripes it wouldn't look that bad and the centre exhaust is pretty cool

On the other hand if you bought it for £5000 and its valued at £24000 you crash it write it off and get £24000 your winningggg

You wouldn't get 24k if you wrote it off and it was valued at that though :/

I had this argument with an insurance company a while ago (not about this car though)

All they do is find a similar spec'd car for sale and offer you around that cars value it's selling for

It's a joke tbh especially as this particular insurer insures like for like yet they wouldn't pay out the full value even if you had receipts proving it

Cough *brentacre* cough <--------- JOKERS

If you have a proper agreed valuation that is the valuation of your particular car the car and its what you should get if the worse happens. That's the point of it. :)

When it gets to under a grand, I will be buying it.

And doing what with it?

Paint the pink bits white, give it some more power and drive it around, I've always kinda liked some bits of it.

I like it. Needs a few tweaks but it has good potential. Could look amazing in the right hands I think

Tbh looking at those seats, surely it will just feel like your about to fall into the footwell?

Car seats are designed to restrain your movement, "anti-submarining" seats stop you from slipping under your seat belt in the event of a crash...

Oh I see you never travelled in a car during the 100 years before 1990..

Lose spoiler, lose stripes, proper seats & you're nearly there

Nah steve, leave it as is and drive it around wearing biggles goggles sporting a moustache.................. I DARE YOU ;)

EDIT: spell based fail :(

Brentacre told me about the way they value cars over the phone when I asked - as you should always do - about an agreed value. They told me straight they don't do agreed values, they compare to the market (by which I mean they see what similar cars sell for) and use that as a base.

Otherwise you could smash it up then dig out all sorts of spurious receipts and tell them it's worth all sorts of money that it's not. Quite difficult with a car like yours though Pete where there literally isn't anything like it.

I think it's fair enough, it's how most cars are insured. Market value. Seems fair to me.

Someone buy it and G40T it.

are those 747 seats even road legal?
