COMMENTS: I bought my Polo last October 2005 new i bought my Polo because i wanted a VW that would be cheap to run & insure and to do up to look nice, i know its only a 1.2 but i dont tend to drive fast anyway so I'm well happy with my Polo power as is., I first fitted the 15` sport alloys and run them around for a while and use them as winter wheels too then i fitted my TT alloys in dark grey and they suited the car very well but i wanted more, this year I've had the TTs mirror polished abd I'm very happy with the look of them against the black, I've also fitted a Scorpian Backbox on there with a GTi rear apron. I've fitted a set of Votex sideskirts and a bluemotion splitter Il change the present pictures with up to date ones when i change the car, 2010 here and works moved on the car, smoothed boot, jap spec rear bumper, smoothed GTi apron, smoothed fron tplate recess, 18mm Adaptors with Audi A8 Monoblocks also I've fitted 9n rear lights as I've never been a fan of the 9n3 ones.

So the story....

are we supposed to comment? if I'm not let me know and ill delete it.

anyway your car will look cool lowered and it makes me want a mk7, the front end has properly grown on me, much nicer than the mk6!!! DAMIT!! it looks how the mk6 should have looked. but imo you should replace the rear lights with mk6 ones, maybe darkened mk6 ones?

Nah the Mk6 lights was one of the weaker points of the Mk6. Mk7 lights are so nice!

thats some really nice photographs there ste, looks proffesional man. cars looking good mate! i heard that u order fk coiles let me know how they are alright mate? wanna change mine to KW but i dunno how the rides gonna be. I've got HID lights for my polo just waiting to fit them on now. good luck with your car ste!!

Not sure how Polo headlamps go together but.....

Hot air gun to unseal the glass.

Prise off with a screw driver.

Tape up lenses and chrome parts.

Spray the surounds black.

Put glass back on a re-heat to seal.

Back on car!

Maximum £10 and great effect!

PLEASE RESEARCH THIS BEFORE USING IT AS I HAVEN'T TRIED IT ON A POLO.

Got to be cheaper than buying the black GTi headlamps  :-D

Thanks but my headlights are plastic so i wouldnt wanna try to be honest! I'm just gonna save for the nice GTi ones

Hello mate, where did you get your german plates from? and how much were they? also how much was your backbox and was it easy enough to fit? cheers Scott

  • Author

Hi mate, ok the german plates were from dubmeister and they come to £35 delivered, and the backbox come off a 9N but when it was put up to my car it didnt fit! so a new pipe has bee fabricated to make it fit oh and a GTi rear apron with the bigger cutout for the exhaust is on too :-D

Smoothin the rear handle soon!

Ste

Love it! Will look so good with black mk7 rear lenses! (if you fit them and want to sell your red ones pm or msn me ;))
