Featured Replies

Hi Folks,

Just wondering if anyone can help my GTi will turn over but not fire but I have noticed the usual drone of the fuel pump waking up is not happening as it can either be the relay or the pump does anyone happen to know what the relay number is as VW want a bit too much yoyo's for what could only end up being a troubleshooting step?

Thanks in adavance.

The pump is controlled by the relay in the top row first on the left, it puts power to fuse #40 then onto the pump

Right, Battery connected up fuse swapped and a bit of petrol to make sure still nowt but it did pop the fuse 3 times any idea what could be causing this?

Thought I heard the pump begining to do it job but flash and the fuse is gone.

Lift the rear seat base (passenger side) and disconnect the plug on the pump unit and see if it still pop's the fuse, if it doesn't it's the pump unit, if still pop's then you have a short in the wiring from the fuse to the pump unit

Right seems like the pump is brown bread will a pump off say a bora/golf 1.4 fit or are these another thing gti specific?

It needs to be a 3Bar output and all of the MPI's use 3Bar, so any pump from a 6N2 petrol will be OK

Part number 6N0919087F fuel supply module 3,0BAR
