How many miles has it done? Mines just gone pop! I'm thinking the valves have been bent due to the cambelt slipping a tooth maybe.. :/ Not totally sure.

just to help anyone out...i'll happily fit this engine to an 8v polo for a small fee....nothing the price of a garage would charge.

I am not sure on the mileage as i have not plugged the clocks in. And the person i bought it off did not know.

Well just the engine, not loom or clock, would it work if i put it in with what i have atm, .. i.e, my valver engine has gone pop, thus I only need a new top end.

Not really Tim as i will be left with all these other bits i don't need.

i have a 16v Gearbox available if anyone is needing one too

has done just over 70k and as far as i know was perfect (no funny noises) before the car's cambelt snapped!
