Spent our day off on Tuesday giving my GIT and Karly's GT a good spring clean.

Got the old gay bar out, then super resin polish, trim detailer, glass cleaner and tyre shine. We thought they looked pretty shiny, have a look see what you think.

Yeah we do! The wheels aren't coming off until all frosts have definitely gone, the salt ruined my alloys last year

If you're about next weekend we could arrange a photoshoot, will have to do a spot of cleaning again beforehand :-D Will be cool to see the 2 exact opposites of each other

It wasnt that dirty though before he went to sally though ..

Karl is the OEM master . He wouldnt put arch trim on with non vw rivets ...

I'm fully aware it's not an original GT. Circumstances dicated what it was and what its become. *Warbatons music plays in background* When I was 17 insurance for it as a 1.3 CL Coupe was £2800. Can you imagine what a GT would have cost? I took Pass Plus and that lowered things to a more reasonable £1800 .

After stumbling across Brentacre after a year of driving they set the ball rolling for the conversion as they gave me a 75bhp limit and said: "You can do anything to the car as long as it's below that figure...". What do you know? a GT engine happens to be 75bhp , so it quickly went downhill from there .

Regardless, I became attached to the car and didn't/don't want to sell to buy a genuine GT not just because of the effort of switching everything over but because it wouldn't be my car. I do like to be particular about things though, and despite it not leaving the factory a GT I've tried my best to make it look and drive as a factory GT would using the necessary parts.
