I cleaned it on the Saturday too, then that downpour on the morning made everything well muddy. And some prick in a Jag stopped in front of me on the hill. I got stuck lol.

Once again theres a change of plan with the wheels

Rolled on my mates RA's for spring fest. I was shocked at how good they looked. I really didn't expect it.

So, The RA's will be going on before the teardrops. and the teardrops wont be polished anymore :(

Few reasons behind not polishing them, they need a bit of work doing before i can start and i fucked one of the teardrop bits up when i was getting the paint off. Its gone right out of shape. This will be oh so noticeable when polished, ideally id need another wheel to do.

However, if i just paint it all..... you would never notice. It will save a lot of work, means i can fill imperfections and it will save me between £70 and £140. then i will either keep them and just swap as and when i feel like it. Or try and sell them for a bit of profit. Probably will just keep them as i cant have no fucker stealing my trademark orange haha!

As for the BBS... I've found yet another trademark colour, a colour that is also used on the GT3RS

Its a nice bright silver, will stand out a bit more than the standard RA colour i think, which is what I'm after, its also metallic which is cool.

Had the tyres taken off today and there going into the shot blasters (along with the VW11 calipers) tomorrow morning.

Back at college on the 19th (i think) which is the day the teardrops will be primed, and all being well painted on the 20th.

Week after will either be touching up the car (marks from the magnets, chip in the door, rust at the bottom of the door :( and the stone chips in the front panel) OR primer on the RA's

Either way things should start moving soon in regards to paint. Then i just keep hitting the money barrier. As i have none lol.

Oh and heres a pic of it on the RA's, it looks really oem fresh (whatever oem fresh means i don't know, but i think it suits it well lmao)

Looking great on the RAs! Do you mind me asking where you're getting them blasted and how much for? I've a set of wheels I need blasting and powder coating but don't know anywhere good around here.

Not sure on powdercoating. I did have a quick search, theres a load of places around here that do it but i didn't ring n ask if they do wheels etc.

And now...

Just need to find a decent ish silver (but nothing special that will steal my thunder) colour to paint them with for next week then I'll flog them on. Funding for tyres for the BBS

They have locking fluid on em dobt they?? I barley managed it with a snap on breakerbar! Lol, them superlights looks sweet!! Bbs do look good on you are polo though, esp in white...i no there not but get em white lol

And nahh, white RA's. There was a MK3 with um on at springfest. IMO they looked horrible. Stood out too much.

The silver stands out enough but its not slapping you in the face, bit more subtle.

Just ordered myself a new ratchet and an adaptor so i can use my 1/2 breaker bar with 3/8 sockets (as my main et is 3/8)

Tomorrow should be a wicked day, Meant to be really hot and ill be removing the polo's new heart from its old body up in the shire

Not having a crane could make it fun :p

Has been a good day, Not as hot as predicted however it was still warm.

Good fun getting the engine out, had the help of Dom, Brett and Dan to get it out. Learnt a fair bot today as tbh, i didn't have a bloody clue what to do haha.
