Pitting in the head thats causing it.

And to top everything off, i just sheared the bolt tightening it back up

Its being a right pain to get out as its snapped about 2mm out of the head so i cant get anything to grip it

Getting the dremel out after a break to cut a groove in it so i can attempt removing it with a screwdriver.

bad times in toby's engine conversion enterprises

  • Author

Happy happy happy, got the sheared bolt out :D :D

Now, that fucking water leak to fix

if theres alot of pitting then its prob gonna need abit of gasket maker on there, could also try lightly sanding the surface down so the pitting isn't as deep and the "O" ring has a better surface to seal on.

Nice car though dude, Really want a 3f now :(

Well, I've put a fair bot of sealer in there. Pressed it all into the pitted bits.

Will get some K-seal in there too just encase it attempts to find a way around the sealer.

If that still fails I'll have to try chemical metal in the pitted bits and get it real smooth. Another new rubber 'O' ring seal and a skim of gasket maker stuff too.

This will fix it for now atleast i reckon. And hopefully for good.

nail! haha so we seeing this tomo? wer we meetin etc. text us. olly tries to organise yet he just fails haha

i have seen chemical metal used to fix this problem mate! apply it like filler to the pitted area and sand it flat.

bringing it out tomorow then? Where we meeting? What time? Etc

Yeah, it shall be out tomorrow at said meet. Possibly with the new wheels on providing the tracking is all sound

Due to my rear spacers, i now rub with weight in the back (2 fat bastards to be precise :ninja:) So I'm officially low enough i reckon lmao.

Sealer has fixed the leak, its all nice and dry :) But if it starts up again i shall indeed be getting the chemical metal out and fixing it for one last time

cars looking much better mate for about the past hour I've just sat n looked at every page on this topic lol, looks so much better! :)

& nuclear levels of NOS!!

NOS haha!

I'm not getting that carried away with it. However if i get bored with it.....

But i 'think' I've secured a certain rather sexual carb setup ;)

And maybe a 4 branch with it....

And then hopefully a cam of some shape, and a full custom system.

But we shall have to see what my wallet is saying before anything is set in stone.

A square shaped cam???
