Why would i need the head cleaning after that maximus. I've never heard of people completely stripping there head and cleaning it after skimming or am i missing something?

Rods are cheese. G40 ones wouldnt fit, skimming pistons is just asking for trouble, along with cheese rods.

It costs a LOT to do it properly. Cheaper to go G40 with mods

Good G engine is a grand.

Forged pistons and rods: 600 (at cheapest)

Management inc loom: 350

Wideband lambda: 150

Turbo and gubbings from a scrappy, 100

Modify a G40 inlet to fit 16v head, use throttle body and whatnot 50-100 quid

Fab a manifold (50 for materials)

other bits and bobs 100-200

I recon you could do it for 500 quid more than a G engine would cost!
