Same as the front just in the ports to the front and rear?

The VW loom in mine didn't have any space for rears though Sooo, we just connected them to the wires straight off the headunit.

Cant really remember as it was my mate that did it all for me, I just helped out with stuff

That's the thing.

Where do I wire the speaker cable's from the rear speakers to my headunit. :/

From my wiring I went round the back of the rear door cards, down under the carpet through to the front under the sill and back of the dash and into the headunit.

Tip - Follow the wiring from the rear lights to the front of the car. This should give you a clear route and make sure its all tidy!

From the headunit down under the dash through to the centre console, then from under the centre console under the seats to either side of the car, then unscrew the cover things that run by the doors, pull the carpet back and yam it under there. then i put it down the side of the rear seats and up the shock mount things, then it comes out right by the speakers.

Can still see it a bit in places, but I'm not too bothered as I'm getting rid of them soon for comps in the front. (door pods)

Not changing my mind on colour now, its too close to be having 2nd thoughts. It took me months to actually figure out what colour I wanted it lol.

Took great advantage of the cloudless day, and burnt my arms

Oh, and I managed to do this ...

Sanded about half of the shell now. Roof, rear, and all drivers side.

Tomorrow i should get the rest of the shell sanded and hopefully cleaned up

Then its just the other panels (boot, bonnet, doors, sunroof) and then the rest is all stuff I'm colour coding (spoiler, boot plinth, bumpers, mirrors, roofbox, badges etc)

90% of the shell all sanded now

Hopefully will get the rest done tomorrow after work (if it doesn't rain)

Then I can start on the other panels like the doors etc, shouldn't take long to do them really.

Next Tuesday I'm going to get the boot all welded up and filled etc ready for next week.

Only 12 days to go now. Bit nervous about doing it tbh. Really don't want to mess anything up. Will be fun though

Few updates

Boot all sanded and hole cut ready to weld up at college tomorrow

All the crap cleaned off car and a bit off wannabe landrover action

Some small dents filled and spots of rust zinc primed

And the new front panel primed up

SORN'd the car Just :( Saves me a month on tax.

That's about it really. the shell is like 99% done apart from rubbing the primed bits down.

Then its just cleaning and taping it up on the day.

All other panels are prepped apart from the doors wich are causing problems. Cant for the life of me get the rubber seals that go across the bottom of the windows out. Haynes manual is full of shit, its impossible to do what it tells you to without ripping the rubber (mines started to rip from attemting to pull it out)

Started sanding back some of the plastic bits that are going to be colour coded. Debating what to do with the bumpers now though. half colour coded or keep black? With something special

Oh, and the bonnet will be something a bit silly too all will be revealed in a few weeks ( a few of you know what I'm doing with it

EDIT: Forgot to mention, the fucking radiator has started leaking today

Not entirely sure why, just noticed the panel right at the bottom had a load of water on it. Its coming from the plastic thing where the bottom pipe joins the rad.

Actually, that just failed. The doors boot n bonnet etc actually are getting sprayed on the 9th. shell on the 8th, doors etc 9th, 15th/16th will be most the colour coded stuff, 22nd/23rd will be anything left over + the completion of the bonnet.

My excuse, Its been over 16 months since I've touched a welder, and even that was just practising when I started the course. But, it filled all the holes.

Will get it all grinded down tomorrow, filled, primed and ready to paint

Pick the paint up tomorrow and going to give the bonnet its 1st coat and for me, a practise coat.
