Cheers for all the positive comments guys n gals :D

Finished work at 2 today, got changed into car clothes to go and start putting it back together and guess what.... The heavens opened. That put a stop to that for the rest of the day

Need some nice weather so I can get all the bits and bobs back on and plastic prime a load of parts!

hurry up chap....u may sleep the next months

Got 2 buggered feet, 2 buggered legs and a buggered back atm. Cant do much

Did some stupid 25 mile walk yesterday for charity and it killed my feet, too many blisters haha. Then I woke up this morning with aching legs and a bad back  Can barely walk

Doors will be painted tomorrow and I missed a bit on the boot so that's gotta go back and be painted again.

Got the rear spoiler, boot plinth, bananas and badges all to prime tomorrow and get them painted on Tuesday hopefully :D

sporting´s murder :D

Painted the doors, Got them home and scratched one of the fuckers. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

haha!

Running out of laquer and paint now too. Cant CC all of the bumpers so going to do something different with them. Where the ohh so common red strip goes... Will be CC'd instead! Saves primer, paint and time! and its something I've not seen done before!

Bugjam is a no no for this year too! I could make it but its cutting it too close for having enough money for Germany. And id rather have plenty of cash for a few laps around the ring than I would spending the weekend in a muddy field at bugjam!

I will 100% be at the poloshow though. so to see this in the flesh you gotta be there  and all not going to bugjam means is the car will be even better for this :p wheels will defo be on for it :D And hopefully the interior will be good :p

hopefully going to get the door and boot patched up tomorrow. oh and the petrol filler cap needs doing before I forget it and run out of paint haha

Sooo, haven't done much today other than figure out I'm going to run out of paint before I get to colour coding even the rear spoiler and boot plinth etc.

SO... I need to decide on a colour I can get in cans to do them in. Might just gloss black them but not sure yet

Pic of the beaut on the door :(

Got the heat gun out on the Bumpers tonight. Really really impressed with what it does to the bumpers

anyone know the reason it goes back to black when it gets heated up? Either way its awesome.

Still going to be putting Halfords bumper paint on um to get them really black. Just figured the blacker they where the less coats id need  as I've only got one can. Hopefully it will do them both but I doubt it tbh.

Found some new locks for the roof box too!

Need to find a decent colour to do that in too! I was hoping colour coded but yeah... So its gotta be something cool!

I eventually want an Arctic camo roof so I might go with something along the lines of that on the roof box.

Any ideas on the plastic items and the roof box will be appreciated!

good work man. I'm also considering doing a roofbox, i think they look frikkin cool on a lowered polo. Gangsta! Keep the pics coming buddy, cant wait to see it all back together!

eyy,u´r coming to germany?wich area?

the heat gun method is impressive, heard of it a couple of time ago.i´ll try that too :)

Just thought id show i haven't completely forgot about this

Everything that's going to be blue, will be blue by tomorrow. Hopefully I wont run out of paint.

I thought it went black as the plastic releases some oil?? :?

its a themoset polymer, meaning it has an oil based precursor, you can blacken your bumpers ith like coking oil, it just goes all slimmy tho

to the polomeet @nurburgring?shame...i´d liek to be there, too

Looking awesome dood :D Blue bumper strips look amazing, really subtle 8-)

haha see you painted the strip blue on your bumpers!

was it easy to do and what paint did you use?

Lewis.

Easy to do, it was just taping them up that took a while!

Used some plastic primer out of a can then the same paint used on the car.

As long as you use plastic primer on them you will be able to use what ever colour you want :)

Oh and before you go ripping the masking tape off, get a knife and cut along the groove (where the paint meets tape) because when I started pulling the tape off it was bringing a bit of the paint with it.

I'm really happy with the bumpers tbh, one of the best parts I reckon!

Hella grill is no more BTW! Up for sale :( / :)

cheers :D

And what you onabout? its clearly a rat ffs!!!! its got satin paint and a roof rack  haha

As much as I love it I've kinda been going off it for a while, I think the only reason I've kept it this long is due to being 'rare' And it lights the road up very very well :p

I don't think it will suit the car any more. And id rather have a set of rocco seats than some marmite lights

Might get a xenon kit at a later date too :p because my lack of light will be depressing

Oooooooooooooo, get you :lol::-p
