they arent on the bead in the first picture Luke, but yeah they are squeezed on.

i have a slight leaking issue as the bead on the wheels is shite, but nothing some sikaflex wont cure!

I've a store of belgom alu megs metal polish. Either of those are more than up to the task, i used the megs as my belgom is in the boot of my polo....id avoid autosol regularly as its an abrasive pure polish.

invest in some microfibres and give them awipe down every other day, daily if you wish

borbets shed a tyre last weekend on a test run so they are off... had to drive it home off the bead, images are bk on! not complaining though! :)

got the car bk from the bodyshop orange peeled to flip unfortunately, i thought a detail would cut it back enough and make light work of it but the paint had been laid on a good while as its been with them for months. very frustrated that it wasn't flatted soon as it was painted as its now gone rock hard!!

fortunately seeing the best of the situation, it had been painted very wet so was gunned down well, this has allowed my mate and i wet flat the entire car without risk of going through the new paint.

with a shed load of 2000grit foam pads and a DA we have done the entire car with bumpers and roof yet to do, after this we blocked it by hand with 2500 finishing paper to lose the pigtailing caused by the DA and then gone over with some fast cut.

got in about an hour ago and have been on it all day!! :retard:

if you had seen it before you would have thought it was a diy job its was that peely simply because the shop didnt flat it bk out the booth as they should have :(

now, reflection wise its looks great.... theres nothing on the paint at all at this stage JUST flatted and cut.

pretty impressive!

will go through a correction to lift the remaining swirls from cutting, polished glazed sealed and Zaino'd yet to come!

gonna be another long day tomo but will be ready for UD.

bodyshop said they would have it bk and do it tomo to do but wasnt farting about going here there and everywhere esp as we had bought all the gear to do it ourselves and with them letting it roll out like that gave me doubts plus put us a day behind on this progress we have already made!! i'm gettign money bk off it and putting that towards my mate dropping other work to sort my car out!!

All the works basically been in waste! The hard work put in has made it representable but I'm not happy at all there's so much not right :(

i dont have any pics of the finish no....did you have a look at UD? run your hand up the door frame and feels rough and makes a gritty sound... the entire car was like this, my mate and just did what we could to make it respectable, it was not even polished or waxed at ud just simply washed the broken grille was just the cherry on the cake of a shit week

none of it was lacquered and it should have been hence me needing to wet flat the flip out of it to make it have any reflection at all.

there are still bits i'm not happy on and its going back again!!

fogs wise they are standard 16v foge with covers to match nothing different than when it rolled off the line. have lamin-x'd the fogs to protect them frm potntial stone chips and cracks.
