i dont know how hard it is gonna be fitting it myself!

i need to find out how to wire in the speed sensor too for the GPS

i have found a forum dedicated to the headunit alone which will likely throw up some good tips and info!

I believe it has a Gyroscope built in to cope with ascending... also useful for multi-storey car parks that could be in the POI's or hills/mountain roads.

The speed pulse signal pick up from the car's ECU estimates the speed and direction you're travelling in to maintain correct mapping useful for tunnels or where GPS signals maybe weak or lost eg. near tall buildings.

All in all a very sophistiacted unit

it doesnt work thats whats wrong!

Haha, i only bought the ripspeed one cause it was fairly cheap

Maybe should of got a better one tbh.

Could anyone tell me if the thin black strip of plastic down the side of the door and rear half of the car is easy to remove? Not sure if its on with glue / w.e

Cheers

kool, have you had your archs done at all?

Thanks

yup rolled and pulled

the rears still catch from time to time on uneven surfaces when driving but its literally the contour of the tyre wall skimming past the arch, there is no wear whatsoever to the tyre it is that minimal!

i am also running 1.5 degree camber shims on the rear!

hows the valver comin on?

the fronts have plenty of space in them

I'm prob going to go for your front size all round so it will be level and decked but still dont know what wheels to go for,

valvers going alright sorted out and changed a few things like got the centrel locking all work now, mk5 rear lights, wiper blanker plate, smoked inner standard headlights, 8k hids, cleaned up the bay sealed painted and polished the cam cover and put in a better air feed because i had one spare

its getting a full respray soon and black roof

still bits to do is

16v rear door cards because the mk5 cc didnt fit

debadge grill

mk5 gti lower splitter

and wheels

if i do go down the route of 20vt id put a 6n2 dash in with 280mm momo wheel

and G60 or S2 front brakes and gti rear disc, bigger arb and bushes strut braces and stuff
