Refurbing BBS RXII

Featured Replies

I'm going to refurb a set of BBS RXII's. Does anyone know what the order is for putting the bolts back in and how tight they need to be?

I think RXII's the centres pop out and the barrel is one separate pieces. Not like RM's where the lip comes off and the face/rear barrel is one piece.

Cheers.

take a torque ratchet and use it to find out what torque the ones in it are when removing them? I'll probably tighten mine to a decent torque then a bit more, bolts are stainless tough enough and polish up well btw! RM's are meant to be 14-18ft/lbs, screwing into aluminium, so use your own judgement around about that I reckon

I've just finished my 16's, not got them bolted together yet tho they look very nice, only one decentish pic for motivation ;)

i would liketo do the same.could i do it without taking the tyres off or not?

You could, but it would be a proper fuck on tidying up the lips.

For the hassle of working around the tyres your better of having them taken off and doing it properly.

oh ok nice one.i need to find some replacemnts wheels to put on for now then

Sweet 8-)

There is a refurbishing DIY guide on uk-polos.net. I think in there somewhere it tells you the correct torque specs of the bolts. Be careful not to shag the threads when removing them too.
