I'm sick of getting nowhere with this coupe due to the poxy weather. I'm going to the council tomoz to enquire. But we have the far left car-hating lib dems here, and I've more chance of renting my local councillors living room for the job.

That'd be interesting - Milton Keynes, the city designed for the car, run by people who hate cars!!!!

Same, plus you can't put your own shelving in or out like that

So how do they expect you to get around in a city that's more widely and thinly spread out than Ebeneezer Scrooge's Elmlea?

Well it aint by bus, thats for sure.

Well, it is pretty flat - maybe they'll close all the roads and turn them into cycle lanes. pffffffftt.

MK's grid roads, with a roundabout at every point the 11 vertical roads and 10 horizontal roads cross, are bypasses. They dont have pavements,we have a seperate network pedestrian/cycleway system which is brilliant. So whilst there are roundabouts everywhere, there are no cyclists to be seen (but for the odd lonesome two-wheeled protestor, once in a blue moon).

MK was designed with the car in mind before it was built,so parking is rarely a problem, though parking mayhem is now being designed into the newest areas by the authorities,in order to make the new fines system work and rape us for stealth tax. From today, they can send tickets in the post, and fines range from 40-120 quid for stopping with the engine running,or parking more than 19ins from the kerb

These wont all be issued by civil enforcement officers (ffs they're traffic wardens, and changing their job title wont get them off the hook),but also by cctv cameras erected for 'public safety'. Fkin facists. This backed by our transport secretary Ruthless Kelly. Enjoy.

council garages here are £5.23 a month! Only big enough to put one car in mind.

Across the road there are three garages (private not council) they are badly maintained and only just big enough for a car but they are all empty. when I rang them they wanted £60 per month I would think it has gone up now. It's crazy what people what to charge, if it was cheaper I would get a project car.
