£110 for a full cat we are getting here in scrap off bigger volvos etc though £50 for a mk3 polo one in scrap

Kwik-Fit are offering £20 for an old cat.

I bet nicking them of new cars is a dodle as nothing is seized!

All down to the rise in raw material costs, as china is consuming alot of metals now and hence Scrap is now worth something. Tin mines in cornwall are now economic to open up and run now.

First thing to come off when you take a car down the scrappers! You can get between £10-£15 for a mk3 polo cat down the metal merchants. I got a fiver for an old mk3 polo copper radiator too.

Wow stealing catalytic convertors? What next, stealing furry animals?

I'd pay for them to steal my catalytic convertor if they promise to get me a de-cat section.....

£10 and a pikey could have it then.

what the fuck. i threw my old cat out last week :x

i aint got a cat, although my mum has but i doubt they'd want something that meows alot and pukes in the corner!

We've had trees go and church roofs too. Bout time some of these pikeys got a taste of their own medicene.

Who's for stealing a caravan or 2?

good luck tryin to steal mine , i aint got one !!! lol

its lead off church roofs round here !!

Yep same round mine, so fire brigade went round all the church roofs and sprayed them with a water which has some dye in it that shows up under UV light, but different colour for different roofs so on scrapping time they'll know where it came from.

also man hole covers round mine...

also houses broken in to for copper pipes, and lead stolen from our bay window, extension window and conservatory

thieving t**ts

No jokes aside, they actually do.

Depending upon the fur trade and large dog puppy's are always popular for theft considering the value of them.

Imagine the cost of a German Shepard puppy, people pay thousands of pounds for one.

so whens the date when all cars have to be fitted with cats

so whens the date when all cars have to be fitted with cats

01/08/1992

also houses broken in to for copper pipes

half of our estate is getting knocked down so that happens a lot to the empty houses before they get bulldozed...

not that the pikeys get a chance to get it tho ;)

It was 01/01/1993 according to the DVTA website Nick, although some 1992 models (including mine) have the catalytic convertors already fitted, mine says "Catalyst" on the back which may explain it!!

I'm gona decat it tho.
