I GOT EATEN BY A FORD KA!

Featured Replies

Thing about the Ka is that its really good fun to drive. I've always liked the frontal styling but could never get my head around the back end. Looks-wise,that really kills it for me. But they're fun, even with their shite 70s all-iron push rod engine. Why Ford didnt use the 1.25 16v is a tragedy. But for me,it'd have the superb 1.7vvt Puma lump. I really dont see why not.

Girls car or not a Ka still looks good and is more fun to drive than any bog standard Polo

I'm all for taking small cars and shoving rockets up there arses but RS Ka's were one I could never get. I hate those damn thing, I think they are to ugly and girly.

Yes I know I drive a Lupo which is a birds car as well. But something about Ka's really piss me off.

I think its the fact that Ford have managed to string it out for 10 years (if not more?) without ever changing the looks of it. Looks dated now, needs a face lift!

Severn Valley Motorsport stuck a 2.0 out of a BTCC Mondeo into a KA

that was around 12 years ago......back when i was into Fords

was in Max Power i think

Amen to all above

Sport Ka = cool

Sport Ka is awesome, it has the chassis but not the power

the idea behind it you pull up next to him think what an idiot for driving a girls car then he makes you feel like your standing still , so basically he is making up for the fact he drives a Ka !!

I like the Ford Kas!

Quirky cheap motoring :) nice looking but rust quicker than any other car I've ever seen!

I'd love to buy one, stick an English axle out the back and an R1 engine in the front and its sorted!

Simple answer, its a girls car

So are Polos

Lucky I'm a girl then

hit the nail on the head foxie, i dont like the ka as standard or the sport ka although its on the right lines, but I've seen some proper nice modified ones when i used to live in essex.

mind you everyone drives a ford there so for every one nice modded one theres 500 UDO's but still it nices when you see a car that works well whatever badge its got on it.

and when you get minced by a KA whatever car your in your gonna look the fool, the chap is the KA might look like a idiot, but hes a faster idiot than you

LOL! I'd love to take that for a motorway drive.

Toodle along after the roundabouts, wait for all the Mondeo/Vectra/Passat think they're all it drivers to overtake me, then fly right past them. It'd be brilliant

Originally the Ka was going to have some state-of-the-art 2 stroke that ford were developing, (supercharged IIRC). But they had trouble getting under the emissions requirement, the only other engine they had that was small enough was the Kent engine. You're wrong to say it's a shite 70's engine, It dates back to at least the 60's, was used in the Anglia. :-p

I agree totally Mikey, that engine would've been so right in that car, yet it was never built due to production costs.

My mate's got the 1.25 in his fiesta and it's a good rev happy little engine, mainly due to the fact that it's a yamaha developed lump!

He's going one step further with the 1.7 vvt conversion being built up to full racing puma spec.

Are you wise, it has almost 100bhp...that's more than enough for you mousey.

Aye good een :p

The 1.25 16v Zetec is pretty good for it size, though I remember on the Fiesta forums it was always talked like it was a supercar, like the 1.4 16v on here lol

there are quite a few cars way that arent what they seem. watch out for the Micra ;)

I like the SportKa,and its got a good engine, but its still got a bootlid the shape of a pair of pants. Still, whatever Ford lost with the engine cock-up (i should admit the kent was legendary in its day,and not having a cambelt does have its strong point),its surely given them a fair return - you cant knock its popularity, and it is absolutely a classic car.

i would in a Ford garage. The StreetKA has to be the worst of the bunch.

i remeber a bright yellow one in max power many moons ago, turbo'd and pretty insane

i can't see why so many people are asking why he would do that to a KA. why does any one ever make a sleeper?

to show up people in 'better' cars normally, surly thats not that hard to grasp is it?

was wondering if there are any bloody gay ka owners on here?

was wondering if there are any gay owners on here?

some people might say that blokes spending all day chatting over the net is pretty fucking gay, so I'm sure there are a few.

KAs are still gay as fuck though, nothing will change that

was wondering if there are any gay owners on here?

I'm gay but I don't own a KA, though I wouldn't mind a sports version.

was wondering if there are any gay owners on here?

i love the cock :-D

i think walshy is a cock jockey as well tbh...
