Mk2 'loon spares or repair

Featured Replies

I've decided to sell the 'loon due to a change of plans.

It's either a good car to break or a good project car

There's no tax or MOT, and it won't have the Tarantulas on it.

It's a 1.3 (hydraulic head), to be honest I've only ran the motor to get the car onto and off the trailer when I picked it up, and it p!ssed oil from the pressure switch.

This has been replaced but I've not run the engine since, but it did fire up first time when we picked it up, ran quiet and didn't blow smoke. The 'box is 4 speed.

The shell is a bit crusty under the plastic, and the laquer is peeling in a few places.

It had rusted around the filler pipe area, which will need welding for MOT, but has a new tank on it.

The interior is reasonable, the stitching has failed on the rear seats (headrest area), but is in good nick on the front seats.

I'm not after much, just make me an offer, otherwise I'll have to scrap her in a couple of weeks time.

The car is in the Chester/Deeside area (N Wales/Cheshire border)

Cheers, Stu
